Specifically when regarding SPCs, that is? Some people say cubic is best, others say Sinc. (Gaussian is just awfully washed out IMO).

Gaussion provides the most authentic experience, everything else is all just personal opinion. Just choose whatever you like!

I use Sinc in fb2k, because it seems to take the least off of the high-end frequencies (which are sadly already compromised by the locked 32KHz though.)
