I doubt most people here have even heard of it. But I just downloaded the demo for Dweep Gold and the .DWM files in the directory it installed into were just renamed .MID(i) files, at least as far as the ever-useful TrID and mostly-useful WinAMP are concerned.
You can even see notes in the instrument information... EX: Dweep, Stage 3 By Michael Huang Klingon_stud@startrekmail.com
I don't have access to a full version of either game - do you have a reason to believe there is music stored in a format other than the renamed MIDI files?
(incidentally, if you still have the games, I'd appreciate it if you could submit entries/data for them on Mobygames)
If they are indeed midi files then I hope to god they still sound as good as I remember them being. As in I hope I can find the soundbank that most accurately reflects the soundcard I had back in the day.
(Incidently more people should play the game, I can't recommend it enough! Amazing puzzle game with so many levels! :))
I submitted the game to Mobygames. You can still (Surprisingly) get the latest full version of the game from Rapidshare with relatively little searching.
