"But it seems to be missing the new songs from the 2.0.0 update."
bxaimc seemed to imply that you wanted the complete rip of that game, including the 2.0.0 tracks.
by bxaimc at 6:05 PM EDT on April 12, 2018
Eventually it'll be added to the main game rip. Obtaining titlekeys for game updates aren't the easiest thing in the world and at the moment, I don't want to bother SciresM (or anyone else that knows about this) with this as he's very busy with Atmosphère (Switch CFW). Maybe when this stuff becomes more user friendly perhaps?

Well I saw that simonmkwii has uploaded the game as well with a slightly larger file size. There might be some extra things in there.
by bxaimc at 6:55 PM EDT on April 12, 2018
(ノ°Д°)ノ︵ ┻━┻

No, there is no extra music in his rip... ಠ_ಠ

His rip has 185 BFSTMS in it. But, 17 of those are sfx/voice tracks I left out.

My rip, on the other hand, contains 168 BFTSMs, 2 movie M4As and the BFSAR.

(fwiw I’m not bashing his rip. I sincerely appreciate his effort)

@bxaimc - Do you mind if I redo the Odyssey rip?
Because the bfwav files included have the generic hex numbered filenames that vgmtoolbox gives, also I found a bit more music in some of the other bfsar/bfgrp files.
by simonmkwii at 9:32 PM EDT on April 12, 2018
Actually, speaking of bfwav, the stereo panning issue really needs to be fixed.

It seems the left channel starts a set number of samples later than it should:

32KHz audio - Offset by 32 samples
44KHz audio - Offset by 44 samples
48KHz audio - Offset by 48 samples

It's a weird and very disconcerting issue!

EDIT: It doesn't seem to be a consistent number, but it's certainly a consistent issue!

Here's 1 more gamerip I've already upped to Mega, if it actually doesn't let someone to DL from there then I guess I can upload it somewhere else.

Final fight - Streetwise (Xbox): part 1 & part 2.
It's the 2nd time I rip this and comparing VGM to PS2 set already available I'm surprised to find out that either PlayStation port really doesn't have many tracks which Xbox version has or whoever did PS2 rip missed not just cutscenes, movies & mono.adx from dialog.afs.

I just checked out the pc rip of "Beyond Good & Evil" and I'm kinda disappointed. It's missing a couple tracks just like all the other rips, so I'll just upload what I'm talking about here from that I ripped from the PS2 version a long time ago.

https://www.dropbox.com/s/8jlp1awm9l2mf6u/Beyond%20Good%20%26%20Evil%20Missing%20Tracks%20PS2.7z?dl=0

I don't remember which folders they were in(probably with all the cutscene audio data). The tracks are both audio tracks that play during the ending sequence and also probably the audio that plays when Jade access Pey'j's mdisc. Feel free to add these to the current PS2 set.

Also, I know one of the tracks sounds cut off, but I think it's supposed to fade out ingame.

Music Requests by DaveMan1000 at 5:26 PM EDT on April 13, 2018
I'm still new here, so I'm not sure if this thread is the right one to post requests for rips, but regardless.

If anyone can manage to do so, I'd like to request rips for the following games:
LEGO Batman 3 - Beyond Gotham (DLC Content)
LEGO Dimensions
LEGO Marvel's Avengers (DLC Content)
LEGO Worlds (Full)
The LEGO Ninjago Movie Videogame

Again, if this is the wrong thread for this kind of thing, I apologise.
by bxaimc at 7:18 PM EDT on April 13, 2018
I’ve got LEGO Worlds and LEGO Ninjago on switch semi complete. Just need to pack it up and upload. Did Batman and Avengers even add music to DLC?
by ChillyBilly at 10:01 PM EDT on April 13, 2018
Okay, Friday's here, so it's time to unload my sack (never you mind how dirty that sounds -_-):

PC

Fatal Stormer

Gran Vitreous

Klang (My apologies for this one... I didn't have time to sort this out, so a bunch of SFX is mixed in there. Still, I assure you that this rip has some damn fine tunes ;))

Moon Bullet

Rangi

Robbie Swifthand and the Orb of Mysteries

Super Daryl Deluxe (Same deal here as with Klang.... again, sorry)

Swaps and Traps

PS1

Penny Racers (AKA the first PS1 Choro Q!)

Super Robot Shooting

PS2

The Battle of Yuu Yuu Hakusho: Shitou! Ankoku Bujutsukai! 120%

Demolition Girl (Ripped from the JP version, so the "news" tracks are in... well, Japanese. I'm not sure if the EU version has localized tracks)

Guncon 2

Maze Action

Sakigake!! Otokojuku

Enjoy, guys!
by DaveMan1000 at 5:37 PM EDT on April 14, 2018
@bxaimc
Thanks, I'll be on the lookout.

Batman & Avengers DLC were cues from the soundtracks of which they were based off, eg: The Dark Knight, Arrow, Agents of SHEILD, Man of Steel etc...

So they are indeed unique files for those levels.
by ChillyBilly at 11:18 PM EDT on April 14, 2018
Managed to squeeze in a few more uploads:

PC

Double Kick Heroes (Has pretty much the entire sound folders here)

PS1

Extreme Power

Galaga: Destination Earth

PS2

Virtua Cop: Elite Edition

Yuu Yuu Hakusho Forever

That's all for now!

I'm having a bit of trouble with the Final Fantasy XV PC rip. When converting all the files into wav files with foobar, the files seem to want to quadruple in file size. I've deleted most of the car radio music which is just reused music from previous games and altogether the files come to around 2 to 3GB. But when I convert them to wav, it becomes like 20GB.
Can anyone help me solve this?
by bxaimc at 9:17 AM EDT on April 19, 2018
They’re mostly multichannel so, unless you’re using a DSP to die mix it stereo from surround, you’re gonna end up with massive WAVs

edited 9:17 AM EDT April 19, 2018
by mariofan12ify at 9:27 AM EDT on April 19, 2018
Well fuck. There's no way I could remove channels from the files are there? Because I'm pretty sure the other channels aren't that necessary.
by MoldyPond at 9:43 AM EDT on April 19, 2018
There's a "channel mixer" plugin for foobar I found specifically for this reason. It does work, but it's really finicky to get the files to be output properly.

https://hydrogenaud.io/index.php/topic,29985.0.html
by mariofan12ify at 9:56 AM EDT on April 19, 2018
I don't really know how to install actual plugins, only components. Also, would the Looping Audio Converter work for these .mab files? Because when I open them in foobar, they automatically split into seperate tracks.
by bxaimc at 10:00 AM EDT on April 19, 2018
foobar should have a built in downsampler though.
by mariofan12ify at 10:04 AM EDT on April 19, 2018
Well, I am aware of that, but I what I want to know is if the songs would sound like they should in-game with all the channels mixed together. Because I've been listening to all the channels play at the same time for the tracks and it sounds... a bit off (to me at least)
by bxaimc at 10:14 AM EDT on April 19, 2018
The game is complicated with these so you can't really tell unless you play the game in its entirety. Hell, I'm not even done exploring the whole thing and I've been at it for a while.

bgm_bat_jd.win.mab, for example plays as-is even though it's surround. No channel muting.

bgm_bat_ifrit_magi.win.mab, is also surround (no channel muting) but also has subsongs. They each play separately depending on the event happening.

bgm_gardina.win.mab, on the other hand, layers the subsongs on top of each other depending where you are on the map. Each track is stereo and probably downmixed to stereo after layering.

bgm_bat_nifu_boss.win.mab I think does do channel muting even though it's also subsong'd.

This whole thing gives me a headache.

by mariofan12ify at 10:19 AM EDT on April 19, 2018
Ok those make sense but what about something like bgm_cg_prelude.win.mab? This only plays in credits as far as I know, so would any channel muting apply?
by bxaimc at 10:23 AM EDT on April 19, 2018
I don't think so. You gotta listen to the soundtrack to figure many of these out.
by marcusss at 8:21 PM EDT on April 19, 2018
A couple more before I take a bit of a break. I'm sure bxaimc has lots of games to upload at this point. Must be hard at times keeping up to speed with the rips flooding in..

= PC =

* Tempest Citadel
* Blood Bowl 2 Legendary Edition
* The Swapper
* Seraph Deluxe Edition
* Toy Odyssey - The Lost and Found (2016-09-20)(Hikergames)

@bxaimc - What do you think the best settings would be to get wav files out of the original without them being 10 times the file size?
by DaveMan1000 at 5:48 PM EDT on April 20, 2018
Anyone got experience in combining and looping tracks?

Cause the music for the Crash N. Sane Trilogy is unlooped and in fragments (Bonus and Death Routes have seperate intros from the rest of the track).

I'd do it myself, but I lack the resources and experience to do so.
by OzoneOne at 8:34 PM EDT on April 20, 2018
@DaveMan1000 The Crash N. Sane rip doesn't loop properly in its current state, there's a tiny bit missing from the beginnings of the files. If it gets fixed then I'll almost certainly combine and loop them for my own purposes, so I could help you with that then
by ChillyBilly at 11:47 PM EDT on April 20, 2018
I come bearing the goods:

Android

Honkai Impact 3rd (I hope this is everything... this had WAY too many files to go through)

iOS

Venture Kid

PC

The Binding of YOU

Bombslinger

Crossing Souls

Dark Rose Valkyrie

Dreamscape

Long Gone Days

Nefarious

Pato Box

Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana (As I mentioned in the vgmstream thread, I think this game's files are encrypted, but I'm not certain.... still gonna post this anyway, though)

PS1

Explosive Racing

Firebugs

PS2

Chou-jikuu Yousai Macross

Mahou Tsukai Kurohime (Updated rip, as I also mentioned in the vgmstream thread)

Wii

Doc Louis's Punch-Out!! (Been meaning to rip this one for a LONG time. Has some tracks that the "main" PO Wii lacks)

Enjoy!

Hi Bx, I uploaded some games that have good music but their vgm is encrypted, unsupported or unknown archive type in a separate folder where I upload my rips usually. Hopefully some can supported someday such as some dif. types of unreal engine adpcm & ios raw adpcm from looking at the headers and hex for example.. maybe you, bnnm or someone can take a look at them sometime.

Crap, well I converted the N. Sane files using a different process and they seem different now. I'll have a look at looping them again and see if it was just me being stupid the entire time

edit: They loop better now but they're still not completely correct. I compared them to some recordings of the game music and they seem to still be missing about 20ms from either the beginnings or the endings.
Also, the Crash 3 medieval bonus actually reuses the Turtle Woods bonus intro from Crash 2, for some reason

I don't feel like doing it cuz it's just too much work to sort out. If you manage to get the hashed names in the table (if there are any, possibly), more power to ya. Then, all the ACTUAL names that match each file is soundbanksinfo.xml

Not new. It’s KTSS. Same thing in Fire Emblem Warriors :P

Seems like you just left the containers intact, which is fine. I’ll decide if I keep the containers or strip it to the actual KTSS header. Thnx

Update: Nope, I’m ditching the container and keeping it as KTSS. Will need to make changes to vgmstream and add the correct file ext .KNS as Atelier Lydie & Suelle: The Alchemists and the Mysterious Paintings has the same thing but outside of G1L containers.

Scribblenauts Showdown is something funky

Gal Gun 2 is being added to vgmstream shortly

Super Putty Squad is idk but someone is trying to look into RE-ing that for me cuz it's in a wrapper for linux.

MXGP3 is the same as Putty,

VOEZ is all unity crap

Monster Hunter is done

Resident Evil Revelations is done for the most part

The LEGO NINJAGO Movie Videogame is done

Monster Jam Crush It! is done, same stuff as Gal Gun 2

Azure Striker has BEEN done. I guess i forgot to upload it.

Syberia been done, again why haven't I uploaded it?

I don't even want to touch DOOM

uhh....

It's actually bink ASI audio, you need to split the audio.p file at the 1FCB header, and save each file as .binka
It plays perfectly!

EDIT: Use this utility to convert it to PCM, it uses the actual Bink binaries (included):

ChillyBilly tipped the PS3 version. I just need to finish sorting and upload it to the archive.
by ChillyBilly at 12:00 AM EDT on April 28, 2018
Yep, as BX said, I ripped the PS3 version a while back. However, it had an issue I encountered with a few other Wwise rips I did: There were WAY too many freaking files (SFX, little split-second music snippets, etc.) to go through. That's why I applaud BX for going to the trouble of sorting through all that mess, lol.

Anyway, some new stuff from me:

PC

BallisticNG

Pizza Titan Ultra

PS1

Max Power Racing

Midnight Run

Peak Performance

Road Rage

Spider: The Video Game (Been meaning to rip this one for a long time. Amusingly, the developers of this game must have been big Pinky & The Brain fans, since in addition to this game's "POIT.XA", one of the other files was called "NARF.DAT", lol)

Spider-Man

Spider-Man 2: Enter: Electro (Odd issue with these Spidey games.... several of these games' XA files are silent for some reason. Since the non-silent files consist of voice/cutscene audio, I'm fairly certain the "silent" ones are the music. I've no idea why they don't play, though. :/)

Touge Max 2

Touge Max G

PS2

Road Rage 3 (Unfortunately, these files don't play at the moment since they lack proper headers. Also, despite the title, it's unrelated to the earlier PS1 Road Rage)

PS3

The House of the Dead 3

The House of the Dead 4

^Boy, have I been on addicted to racing soundtracks, lately. Anyway, I also intend to rip the PS3 version of HOTD Overkill when I get the chance. That being said, enjoy guys!

@Simonmkwii: Hi, are you still ripping DOOM (Switch)? I hope it's still not too late to post an automatic renamer for the Wwise system by Alpha23. Here's original post if you're interested.
This BMS should work nicely on tracks with hashed names if they all have *.wav extension and soundbanksinfo.xml is in the same folder as actual streams you want to rename. Of course you'll also have to obtain 1 more script for renamer to work and place it in the same directory as main BMS.
I think this code will help you a lot and you won't have to manually rename every single BGM (it was quite bothersome to process 100+ files by hand in TRON Evolution and it's gotta be impossible to do the same with a few thousands of streams).
Good luck with this rip, I hope it'll be completed & posted here at some point!

@ChillyBilly: Thnx for Spider-man 1 & The house of the dead 4!
BTW I wish you luck with House of the dead: Overkill, I guess that extraction of individual tracks out of sound archives is gonna be the hardest part. IIRC there're even filenames in ends of those banks so getting correct track names is another source for headache.
As for silent stereo XAs (the ones with "COMPILED_010*6401_0000.xa" name mask) in Spider-man set: those don't play simply 'cause they mostly consist of zeroes (0x00 or 0x0C make up 98 or 99% of such files). I'd suggest opening a PSX ISO in VGMToolBox and checking if name of that COMPILED.BIGFILE is in green letters. Even if it's not I'd say that copying said archive to HDD & re-extracting it is the next thing you'd better do. And even if that doesn't fix silent 2ch tracks then I'm out of ideas... ATM that is.

Cheers!

@mariofan12ify
That game isn't sequenced. They're just streamed DSP stored inside an MSM file.

apparently my Dropship United Peace Force (2002-01-18)(SCEE - Studio Camden)(BAM! Entertainment)[PS2].7z pack has a lot of .m4a and .wav files included for some insane reason. i've (quite literally) never packed such files during the making of this set.

luckily the rest of my sets are fine though lol
shame i have to endure ~30kbps download speed just to get one single rip

Hmm, I wonder what's recently been adde- holy shit, that's a lot!
by ChillyBilly at 11:31 PM EDT on April 28, 2018
Oh my, SRW X and Power Pro 2018.... this is a nice surprise! :D Thanks for all your efforts, guys! And with that being said, I managed to squeeze in a couple PS3 rips today:

OutRun: Online Arcade

Ragnarok Odyssey ACE

'Til next time!
by MurraySkull at 3:22 AM EDT on April 29, 2018
OK, what happened to the re-rip of Super Mario Odyssey? It seems to have disappeared.
by Ultrafighter at 6:11 AM EDT on April 29, 2018
@MurraySkull: if a rip has already disappeared from here but hasn't appeared here it doesn't mean it was pruned or red-lighted or something. Some bigger sets should take much more time to check I presume and our gamerip moderator has quite a few rips to check (plus his own releases require investments of time & effort too).
I guess BX would post here if anything's really wrong with that rerip and no one has to worry until that happens.
Later!

Finally did a NAND dump of my Switch!
Music from game updates are coming!

Unfortunately I can't get any eShop-exclusive titles' music yet, as although I have the tickets, they have additional encryption and SciresM won't go into much detail about it.

Kirby updated, thnx Simon.

Splatoon 2 will need a little wait. Trying to figure out why some are broken.
by simonmkwii at 1:03 PM EDT on April 29, 2018
Doing ARMS 5.3.0 next, a bit of a problem.
There is no decoder for the FSTP/.bfstp format, and the game contains .bars containing many tracks in that format.
I can tell you, from my analysis, it's mono 32KHz DSP-ADPCM, so it shouldn't be too hard to implement, should I keep the files in the 7z just in case?

EDIT: Hmm, actually, a higher priority would be to fix the issue playing back stereo DSP-ADPCM in BFWAV format.
There's a weird interleave issue which results in the audio being extremely hard to listen to, especially with headphones on, because the stereo panning in completely screwed.
This only happens in BFWAV, and only when encoded in DSP-ADPCM.

BFSTP is a prefetch for BFSTM. Usually doesn't contain unique music but upload it anyway and I'll go through it.

BFWAV should have been fixed with this release

Didn't bother with the bfstp, you were right about it not containing any music that wasn't in other files.
by simonmkwii at 1:56 PM EDT on April 29, 2018
@bxaimc - It's still not fixed:

I need to manually adjust it every time...
by bxaimc at 2:07 PM EDT on April 29, 2018
which file(s)?
by simonmkwii at 2:38 PM EDT on April 29, 2018
@bx - Every single stereo DSP-ADPCM BFWAV I tested.
Also, OH MY GOD THOSE IMAGES ARE HUGE
by Vector Harbor at 3:43 PM EDT on April 29, 2018
So we just got a new Kirby star allies rip ? Does it include the dlc song ?
by Koto at 4:44 PM EDT on April 29, 2018
And what about the new Mario Odyssey rip? It was finally uploaded?

See ya
by bxaimc at 4:55 PM EDT on April 29, 2018
@Vector, yes it’s up now with the original rip.

@Koto, will be up soon, going through it.

EDIT:

@Simon, lol idk what you did but some of the update files you uploaded for Splatoon 2 were encrypted (headers were fine but the main data wasn’t). I went back and unpacked v3 and mines were normal. That’s so weird.

by bxaimc at 5:48 PM EDT on April 29, 2018
There isn’t unfortunately but I don’t think you’ll be disappointed at https://www.hvsc.c64.org ;)
