i used txtp to make it play all the channels at once

thx to bxaimc for ripping Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 and using txtp on Mega Man 9, it took me a while to get to work without it giving me an error

That's great but you didn't include the key.
by ChillyBilly at 2:04 AM EDT on July 14, 2018
Well, I said I'd post more uploads, and dammit, I intend to deliver:

iOS

Musynx (AKA Musync. For the record, I'm WELL aware that a version of this set was already posted and archived (I assume it was marcusss who ripped it?).... however, this rip is far more complete in comparison. I'm also thinking of doing the Vita version as well at some point, though I think that one has less tracks than the mobile editions...)

PC

Ambition of the Slimes

Battle Shapes

Nippon Marathon

Shining Resonance Refrain

Smash Pixel Racing

Possibly even more to come soonish!
by marcusss at 3:02 AM EDT on July 14, 2018
Yeah it has probably been updated a lot since then so thanks for updating it ChillyBilly. Nice ps4 and switch releases lately also. Hard to listen to them all. Hahaha

More weekend goodies:

Android

Pokerizu: Pocket Rhythm (This one is VERY MUCH incomplete.... unfortunately, I had trouble finding the DLC songs for this (for which there are 70+!).I'll still look, but if anyone else (maybe marcusss?) can help, I'd sure be grateful!)

RhythmStar Music Adventure (I think I have most, if not everything for this one, at least)

PC

Carly and the Reaperman (Another case of not having enough time to sort out the files, sadly)

Chime Sharp (The sheer number of unsorted files is intentional in this case, this being a rhythm-type game and all ;))

Dream Alone

PSP

Pop'n Music Portable 2 DLC tracks (Really surprised it took me so long to notice, but these were missing from the currently available rip, so I took matters to my own hands once again! I didn't include the little preview clips since the main rip didn't have them, but I can add those later, if anyone wants.)

And sticking to the subject of rhythm titles.... I've been trying to extract the music from a little game called Tone Sphere (Android version) for a while now, but my efforts have proven useless so far. So once again, I request help from you guys (pretty sure the audio/rawsound archives have what I'm looking for, but I included all the main data files just in case) Thanks in advance for any assistance, as always!

@ChillyBilly: Unfortunately, the DLC for Pop'n Portable 2 doesn't have the premixed versions, just the background music tracks without keysounds. :\
by ChillyBilly at 11:26 AM EDT on July 15, 2018
@Knurek: I know, but much like with the PS1 games, I simply couldn't stand to sit idly by knowing that rips were still possible, heh. I guess I could give the DLC another look and see if I can include the keysound data, should I get the chance....

TowerFall Ascension [PS4]

Unepic [PS4]

Dark Souls II Scholar of the First Sin [PS4] - Uses atrac9 albeit 120-168kbps 48khz for music

Snake Pass [PS4] - Required a little work. Sounds great at 288kbps Atrac9.

Chronicles of Teddy Harmony of Exidus [PS4] - Each BGM is both in ATRAC9 & OGG So I included both. Also some tracks use same samples?style as Shadow of the Beast 2 Amiga as I always played that and some songs here sounded nostalgic.

Costume Quest 2 [PS4]

Battle Worlds Kronos[PS4]Game uses 6ch vorbis ~600 -800 kbps music. Nice game

Rainbow Moon [PS4] - It amazes me they used 96 -128 kbps mp3 for this game in this day and age ...

Anybody still has earlier version of Metal gear solid 4: Guns of the patriots (PS3) rip? I'm talking about ipfs link by HCS (post #3 on that page) but he probably mirrored rip by !!!!!. I used HCS's mirror some time ago (years ago possibly) but apparently the link's dead now, the page seems to be loading forever.

Thank you.

@marcusss, hope, you’re also including the snd0.at9 and appropriate movies in your PS4 rips :)
by marcusss at 9:37 AM EDT on July 18, 2018
Yeah when the snd0.at9 is there i include it. So far not many have movies with music as the bgm is contains the music to the videos.. I do include the movies if they are present as ripping games I am interested in :)

Some unity games have half the assets readily available and the other half are inside the psarc file before it can be processed. Unreal engine games also are messy but on ps4 at least usually are decent at9 instead of low bitrate vorbis like pc games so worth the effort like Snake Pass for example.

Might not be the right thread to ask but seeing as how the PS4 version of Snake Pass was recently uploaded, I've noticed that the bitrate is higher than the PC version, however they're both in completely different formats. Disco Time 80's VR

Duck Force

Gotcha Racing 2nd

Mad Frost

Mechanism

Odium to the Core

Pipe Push Paradise

pixelBOT EXTREME!

Pool Panic (This one had WAY too many files to go through, but I think I managed to get all the tunes. Despite that, I still didn't have time to entirely sort out all of the SFX....)

Raining Blocks

Rheum

Sacred Stones

SoTo

Star Valor

Tempest 4000

Vectorium

Wild Glory

PS1

Beat Planet Music

Dance! Dance! Dance!

Glint Glitters

Goo! Goo! Soundy

Harlem Beat: You're the One (Untimed PSFs here. Also, this game has a separate "MASTER" archive which contains the brunt of the streamed audio, some of which are jingles and such.... but the problem is that there's more than 6000 files to go through if anyone wants to pick out those little musical snippets. That's why I decided to upload the "master" files as a separate download, in case anyone else wants to take care of the detailed work.)

Susume! Kaizoku

Susume!! Taisen Puzzle Dama

YoYo's Puzzle Park

PS3

Kidou Senshi Gundam: Side Stories

^BTW, I dunno if it's just me, but when I try to play some of the XA files from these PS1 sets, it causes foobar to crash. I'm using the latest version of vgmstream as well, of course. Can anyone else confirm if they have this issue?

If anyone wants the audio files for Star Trek: The Next Generation - A Final Unity, I can upload as well. They do need TXTP treatment, or possibly GENH treatment.

They're a bunch of raw IMA ADPCM byte interleaved audio tracks, 22050Hz. And disgustingly, they're all pre-processed with SRS stereo expansion for speakers.

The loop points were hard coded into the game executable at every place that a given file was loaded for playback. I'm not sure if a crossfade is necessary, or if they'll just loop properly without a crossfade when using "standard" IMA processing.

For anyone who's interested, I went through the Yu-Gi-Oh! - The Duelists of the Roses game rip and put names to the track numbers using some old rips featured on youtube as a basis.

https://i.imgur.com/n219cZ3.png

It looks like 2 tracks aren't used in game. The credits music was missing, so I ripped it from the game's video files with Pssplex (both ending videos have identical audio). I also ripped the opening video's audio, despite it being in the music folder, because it was a lot higher quality in the video file. The 10XX, 20XX, and 30XX files are just the Duel themes with fade ins from different sections of the track which are used when you come back from a monster battle. Being as they're the exact same track with a different start point and a fade in, they're ultimately useless for listening.

Tracks 06 and 39 aren't in the game's music folder.

This set:

Mortal Kombat (2011-04-19)(NetherRealm)(Warner Bros.) [PS3]

Appears to have all of the files named as .wav, which breaks with the latest VGMStream. I'll need to test, but they either need to be named .lwav, .at3, or .at9. Not sure.

Someone reported to me that naming those names randomly corrupts some or other of the files on playback. I'll need to identify the codecs in all of them, then.

E1: Looks like the files are all IMA ADPCM, and the ones that are failing to decode are 4 channel files, and even FFMPEG doesn't know what to do with them.

@kode54 - Mortal Kombat was clearly converted with fsbext from the original FSBs, which use an IMA variant I call FSB-IMA already playable in FSB.

So those .wav are useless, I suggest a re-rip since FSB-IMA doesn't exist in .wav form nor is easily detectable.
by Ultrafighter at 4:51 AM EDT on August 12, 2018
@Kode54 - I confirm what Bnnm said and suggest you simply get a copy of Mortal kombat Komplete edition sets (be it PC or PS3 version), they should have all the stuff featured in '11 ver. and more. BTW both rips I mentioned aren't transmogrified at all, they weren't even split from banks into 1-stream FSBs so these have to be the best option out here.

Here are some garbage sets:

- Ubi PK: these (mostly?) work but are too boring to sort out.
James Cameron's Avatar - The Game (2009-12-07)(Ubisoft Montreal)(Ubisoft)[PSP]
Naruto - The Broken Bond (2008-11-18)(Ubisoft Montreal)(Ubisoft)[X360]
Prince of Persia - The Forgotten Sands [Prince of Persia - Boukyaku no Suna] (2010-05-17)(Ubisoft Quebec)(Ubisoft)[PSP]
Scott Pilgrim vs. the World - The Game (2010-08-10)(Ubisoft Montreal, Ubisoft Chengdu)(Ubisoft)[PS3]
Scott Pilgrim vs. the World - The Game (2010-08-25)(Ubisoft Montreal, Ubisoft Chengdu)(Ubisoft)[X360]

- Ubi MAP: I was considering implementing this format for a while but it's just too crappy, with a single file that includes every sound and Ubi layers and stuff (DecUbiSnd may work tho). I'll leave them here just in case.
Batman - Rise of Sin Tzu (2003-11-11)(Ubisoft Montreal)(Ubisoft)[unplayable][GC]
Batman - Vengeance (2001-10-15)(Ubisoft Montreal)(Ubisoft)[unplayable][PS2]

Disney's Tarzan - Untamed (2001-11-17)(Ubisoft Montreal)(Ubisoft)[unplayable][GC]
Michael Jackson - The Experience (2010-11-06)(Ubisoft Sao Paulo)(Ubisoft)[PSP]
Open Season (2005-09-19)(Ubisoft)[unplayable](PSP)

@bnnm

Thank you, but there are some problems.
I tried scanning the streams archive with DecUbiSnd, and it fails.
How can I extract the streams contained inside the SS6 archives from Splinter Cell HD for example?
by Ultrafighter at 4:19 AM EDT on August 21, 2018
Hi Mark! I can't seem to find composer name for this new Battlezone version, neither Gold nor normal edition. Anyway is it anything like music from Battlezone (2006) for PSP? Or is it more old-school (maybe even chip-tune) style a-la XBLA port?
Later!
by Badope at 5:33 AM EDT on August 21, 2018
Could anyone take a look at Punincess Maker / Princess Maker by Oguchin for Sharp X68K?

Been trying for some time now to rip it to a format that Hoot reads, but to no success yet..
by marcusss at 6:34 PM EDT on August 21, 2018
HI Ultrafighter. The music is different to the psp version and I too don't know the composer. The music is electronica style with some chip tune or sid filter added here and there in some songs but with some beats also. Cheers
by Nicknine at 5:58 PM EDT on August 22, 2018
Here are re-rips of Frostbite games done with better extractor tools.

Need for Speed - The Run [PC]

Need for Speed - Rivals [PC]

This is meant to phase out the current unreliable Frostbite SPS parser from vgmstream as these rips contain proper SPS files extracted from Frostbite audio chunks. They also have correct names and paths.

@condroid would you accept Hoot requests?

There are only 5 games absent of the Neo Geo library...

Karnov's Revenge
Street Slam
Puzzle De Pon R!
Magical Drop II
Puzzle Bobble 2

If you could make just some of this, it would be really great.

See ya
by condroid at 8:52 PM EDT on August 23, 2018
I don't have time for requests at the moment, but I can offer you XML files for some of these games that should work with a current MAME set. I think Puzzle De Pon R! has the same music as the prequel, or at least the audio roms have identical CRCs. Puzzle Bobble 2 uses a non-standard init sequence that might not be supported by the Hoot driver and it would require some time and trial/error to confirm this. The music is playable in M1 though.

Big thanks for Need for speed - The run set Nicknine, I only wish that old rip I listened too was as good (I mean with names and not split into pairs of stereo files for the most part)!

And a bit of off-topic: times like this I wonder if spoiler can be implemented here... Maybe it can't, otherwise it would have been added years ago so disregard my question.

Best wishes!

The Deadly Tower of Monsters [PS4]

Phantom Doctrine ]PC] Like a spy/espionage game

edited 2:47 AM EDT August 24, 2018
by ChillyBilly at 12:40 AM EDT on August 25, 2018
Okay, got some goodies to share:

PC

AstroViking

Crypt of the NecroDancer: Ultimate Pack (I'm well aware that a PC rip of this is already available, but this is the most up-to-date version yet)

Cubicus Arcanum

Drunk-Fu: Wasted Masters

Lucah: Born of a Dream (Rather like this one, personally)

Monster Slayers

Muddledash (One of this game's tracks is nearly a whole friggin' hour long, lol)

Paper Dungeons Crawler

Portal Journey: Portarius

Touhou Luna Nights (From the same developer behind those SMT/Konosuba Metroidvanias from a while back)

Touhou Makukasai ~ Fantastic Danmaku Festival (Truth be told, despite posting this, the XNA files are unplayable for me..... particularly the biggest one. I think the big one is technically an XWB archive, but I'm not sure how to play/convert it. Think anyone can lend a hand?)

Tyler: Model 005 (Forgot to sort a few voice clips out of this one, sorry)

PS1

Love's Game: Wai Wai Tennis (Remove the "X" from the .DAX extension if the files don't play for you!)

Love's Game: Wai Wai Tennis Plus

Yeh Yeh Tennis (All three of these games have fun soundtracks! Recommended downloads!)

Xbox 360

Ace Combat: Assault Horizon (Saw only the PS3 version was available, so....)

As always, enjoy!
by rcsb at 12:55 PM EDT on August 25, 2018
Could someone help me on getting or ripping the PS3 version of Pro Yakyuu Sports 2014? Only the PSP version is available and it's heavily compressed. The music on this game is AMAZING, reccomend everyone to check it out. THANK YOU very much!

PS: I never ripped PS3, so I would need a guide.
by Knurek at 2:13 PM EDT on August 25, 2018
@rcsb: Upload the sound folder somewhere.
by rcsb at 2:39 PM EDT on August 25, 2018
Will do, @Knurek, thank you very much!

EDIT: In fact, Knurek, my internet connection has, like, 20kbps of upload speed, so it would take ages for me to upload this single folder. I have a link to the full game on Google Drive, if you don't mind downloading it, it'll be MUCH faster than waiting for me to upload 1.6GB, I guarantee it. Here's the link, let me know if you can do it, ok? (The link is totally clean, I already downloaded and extracted it, no problems)

Thanks a lot!

@rcsb: Should be up on the server.
There are actually Vita versions of PYS games, but nobody has dumped them yet.
by rcsb at 4:08 PM EDT on August 25, 2018
Thank you very much, Knurek! Really, I aprecciate it!

Yes, there are, unfortunately nobody ripped them. If you could point me to some place for the knowledge to do it or do any other game that's not here, I'd love to help. Thanks again!
by ChillyBilly at 5:08 AM EDT on August 26, 2018
Huh, I hadn't payed attention to Pro Yakyuu Spirits since Power Pros was my go-to Konami sports series, but now I think I'll take a look at the other unripped PS3 entries if I get the chance....

Anyway, now I want to mention yet another issue I've been contending with: Over the past few months, I've hit some roadblocks with various PSN titles I tried to rip. The games in question are:

Chime Super Deluxe

Earthworm Jim HD

Groovin' Blocks

Sega RALLY Online Arcade

Super Robot Taisen OG: Dark Prison

In the cases of EJ, GB, and SRW, I've had trouble decrypting their respective archives, no matter which tool I used (make_npdata, pgdecrypt, etc.). As far as the other two go, I've simply been unable to extract their data, as well (though that might be another case of encryption, I'm not sure). I'd like to request assistance once more, if possible....?
