Ripping DSP ADPCM from Wii game by Puck at 3:12 AM EST on December 30, 2012
Hello, I'm trying to rip the audios from a Wii game. I believe the audio is DSP ADPCM, since it is a Wii game. However, I can't find a way to play the audio. I've tried using vgstream but no result :(

Here is the file:

Can you guys tell me what kind of audio format is it and how can I play it?

Thanks :D

It does look like DSP ADPCM, but DSP needs a header with the decode coefficients and this file doesn't have any, except at the end where it has several. How did you extract this file?

It seems the DSP header are located at the end. I just got this file from a .afs from a Wii game I´ve been extracting sound effects from different games for a video project, and just wanted the sounds of this particular game :P

Is there anyway to add the header to the files inside so they could be playable?

Thanks :D

What program did you use to extract from the .afs? You might want to try my lafs, on the vgm ripping page, on the chance that it is being extracted at an offset.

I use DKZ and AFSexplorer, both of them have work just fine with other games.

How kind I possibly know the audios inside are DSP-ADPCM? They might also be BRSTM, although these are used more for music.

I'm trying lo locate the pointers at the end of the file, but I'm not having any luck. All I know is that Wii audios are in Big-Endian format.

Any tips? :P
