Banjo Kazooie Beta Tracks by Elven Spellmaker at 4:34 PM EDT on June 27, 2013
I stumbled across this the other day, thought you lot might like to know:
http://grantkirkhope.bandcamp.com/album/bk-betas

Some are in the USF set, but some are definitely not, despite him saying All these track are just as I found them, I don't know why they're called what they are or why they were there on the BK ROM! .... your guess is as good as mine!

I wonder why some of them weren't found when the rips were made, perhaps they are stored in weird places that Grant can find easily.

Very cool. Maybe it was off a beta ROM?

He actually had someone insert MIDIs of those into the game so that they'd have the BK instruments. That's what he mentioned on his website.

Having a USF set ripped from the modified ROM would be really great since all of the tracks on Bandcamp have odd little clicks and stutters in them. It's as if an emulator is having performance problems, or maybe the tracks have been recorded from the wave output in software that was dropping some of the audio. Strange since the previous Dream/BK beta track rips sound fine and they were done by the same person who did this latest batch.

He and the creator of the Banjo's Backpack tool had been in decent contact (he's really nice to his fans if you drop him a message). He wanted to release the tracks and so the creator put them in the rom to play with the proper instrument sets.

In addition to this, he also chucked up ten tracks (on his website) from the "Dream" soundtrack (Dream was the beta to Banjo Kazooie's beta, for those who don't know). Tooty's Theme, Gloomy Galleon from DK64 and a more upbeat boss styled Mad Monster Mansion are amongst them. Definitely worth checking out.
