BUMP

OK, I've finally decided to take up ARM and finish Mawaru Wario once and for all. It should be done within two weeks, or sue me.

Oh yes, and PAGECLAIM

EDIT: Drat, I failed once again. All I can offer is an ancient craptap that I did.

Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories by unknownfile at 6:13 PM EST on March 16, 2006
It's one of the sets you've been waiting for.
It was left to die, but someone recussitated it.

Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories is finished.

Get it at GSF Central.
by unknownfile at 12:14 PM EST on March 28, 2006
Uh huh, I rock, you don't...

(Mawaru Wario got its sound select identified. It uses register r0.)
by marioman at 12:29 PM EST on March 28, 2006
YES!!! I will be looking forward to seeing that one put up.

By the way, Mega Man Battle Network 6 has been ripped and is available at GSF Central. That just leaves Battle Network 5 to be ripped. I hope that BN5 gets finished soon...

Fuckfuckfuck!

Even though I have identified the sound select at 0x12D31C, I can't seem to fix the game up so as to just jump to here and start its music stuff, and I can't even modify s*ptapper in order to fix this.
by unknownfile at 8:25 AM EST on March 29, 2006
A bunch of craptapper rips without tags have been uploaded to gsf central. As of now, I will not be accepting any saptapper rips without tags or times unless that game cannot be ripped without modifications to the program.

Guess what, I finally made a qsf set. You can now flood me with CPS2 Q-Sound requests.

Saptapper, now with manual support
by Knurek at 2:32 AM EST on April 1, 2006
Manual support?
by marioman at 4:34 AM EST on April 1, 2006
Yeah, what is manual support?

--EDIT--

By the way, thank for the QSF offer. Unfortunately, I have all of the QSFs I want right now.

by unknownfile at 5:27 AM EST on April 1, 2006
Since saptapper works in a single block of code, it might not find other functions in that single block, which are elsewhere in the rom. This is why manual support was re-enabled.
by marioman at 6:17 AM EST on April 1, 2006
Will it be able to rip Mega Man Battle Network 5? I am 95% XSF illiterate, so I do not even know how to find out. (All I know is how to tag/time and that the xsflib needs to be in the same folder as the minixsfs. Pitiful isn't it.)

If it can rip MMBN5, I may look into ripping/tagging/timing that one.

edited 11:18 AM EST April 1, 2006
by unknownfile at 7:03 AM EST on April 1, 2006
I tried MMBN5 earlier and it failed, so I'm going to try it again later.

Well after checking through the game with no$gba, it appears the game is just calling to null space in the saptapper bank, which is causing an exception. I'm not sure why this is happening but I might be able to figure this out later.

Hooray! I got it working, now to get rid of this annoying static.

I found out what is causing the static, and that's because the game has returned from a function and is just branching to itself over and over.

GREAT! Thank you UNKNOWNFILE. When you get everything worked out, if you will give me a link to the set I will tag/time it.
by unknownfile at 8:12 AM EST on April 1, 2006
I cannot patch this bug out as of yet, maybe cs2 will do it, I've already contacted him about this.
by marioman at 11:38 AM EST on April 1, 2006

It might never happen, just to let you know. ARM/THUMB is not my area of expertise, and I have never read any devkit instructions for its functions. If the static bothers you which it no doubt will contact the professionals aka Caitsith2. Just hope that he isn't drunk or idle.

Oh yeah, I just posted the broken Mario Party Advance thing. burp

It would be nice if CS2 could fix the static in both sets. Are you still trying to get in touch with him or are you telling me to?

I briefly Googled Arm/Thumb assembly and I found a few sites that seemed to clearly explain the Arm functions. I do not know it you have even tried to learn Arm, but that may be a good place to start.

Lastly, if you put up what you have so far for MMBN5, I will look at. I do not know if I will figure anything out, but I will give it a try.

Thanks for your help.
by unknownfile at 4:12 PM EST on April 1, 2006
The trick is that you're dealing with a lump of code (like with USF, except trickier) and not individual files.
by Lunar at 5:12 AM EDT on April 2, 2006
On a sidenote, am I right in thinking Akari Kaida did MMBN5?
by unknownfile at 1:58 PM EDT on April 2, 2006
I have sent Sir-Sabin the broken MMBN5 set, he'll be tagging it. I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to fix this static problem, though.

Speaking of GSF, I completed my first manual rip. It's Crash Bandicoot 2 N-Tranced and is available on the GSF Central page under "tags and times needed."

Oh yes, and pageclaim.

A proper, optimized MMBN5 set is in the optimization process and should be finished shortly.

OK, you're the boss. If you need any help, let me know. Thank you for the set.

--EDIT--

Can Sir Sabin fix the static in Mario Party Advance too? It seems that since he fixed the static in MMBN5 that fixing Mario Party Advance would be easy.

edited 9:32 PM EDT April 2, 2006
by unknownfile at 5:39 PM EDT on April 2, 2006
Sorry.

Sir-Sabin is tagging the set. I merely managed to patch it and yet there was three seconds missing and since this disturbed him so much (hey, it's three seconds), he has asked CS2 to fix this up.

Also, Mario Party Advance doesn't seem to work in Highly Advance.
by marioman at 5:54 PM EDT on April 2, 2006
Yeah, I noticed the time delay in MMBN5. I figured that it was still in the process of being fixed. Congratulations on your first manual rip!

>> Mario Party Advance doesn't seem to work in Highly Advance. <<

Before or after you tried to patch out the noise? The "broken" version works fine for me here. (Except for the static.)

Thanks.

First off, this is my second manual rip.

Secondly, I have patched the song select, but HA freezes the game before it can get to it.

Actually, as I've just found out, it takes 30 seconds as opposed to the 3 seconds in VBA.

I patched it and it takes half as much time. I might post the 15-second delay set tommorow and make some notes in the info file. But I'm just an upset little guy >o

by marioman at 5:27 AM EDT on April 3, 2006
OK, for some reason I didn't realize that you were re-ripping them manually. It looks like you are getting the hang of it - all you have left to figure out is how to get rid of delays at the beginning of the tracks. Good luck on finishing them up.

(BTW, I am capable of tagging Spyro: Season of Ice and Mario Pinball Land. It may take a while, but I will see if I can get to them soon.)
by unknownfile at 2:35 PM EDT on April 3, 2006
Alright, I got the delay down to 4 seconds. That'll be good enough for now, so I'm going to proceed to optimize the set now.

Crap!

"Unsupported file type: C:\gsf\mpadvgsf\mpadv-00FF.minigsf"

Yes, the ENTIRE optimization failed. I'm going to need to reoptimize it tommorow.

ALRIGHT!!! Thank you UNKNOWNFILE! I would've sent you tags earlier, but you told me not to. No matter - I am just happy to get the music. Thanks again, and I will be looking forward to getting that Mario Party Advance music too. Congratulations on you first official manual rip.

...second.
by Lunar at 12:36 AM EDT on April 4, 2006
So what exactly is the advantage of manual-ripping as opposed to using SapTapper? Is it just so you can take credit for it =P or are there other reasons?

Also, lol @ Jayster for appearing out of the blue and sending tags. I was going to inform him there was a rip in existance, though I guess my work has just been cut out.
by marioman at 3:59 AM EDT on April 4, 2006
>> second... <<

Yeah but MPA isn't finished/tagged/timed yet. MMBN5 is finished.
by unknownfile at 5:49 AM EDT on April 4, 2006
Lunar sex, erm, sez:

So what exactly is the advantage of manual-ripping as opposed to using SapTapper? Is it just so you can take credit for it =P or are there other reasons?

It's because people who use Saptapper are those who don't wish to learn ARM/THUMB. I am able to understand most THUMB (2-byte) instructions, but I'm not as good with ARM (4-byte instructions).

For those interested in making GSFs, you'll need to find the song select for the game you want. Provided that the sound function is not a huge thread (like in Mawaru Wario where any patches will kill the game), you can easily patch the following ASM code to the game to halt operations past that point:

loc_halt:
swi 2h // halt
b loc_halt

When this point is hit, the game will prevent further operations past that point. I usually patch this on to the end of what Saptapper calls sappy_songselectbynum.
by unknownfile at 2:58 PM EDT on April 4, 2006
Mario Party Advance now up at GSF Central.
by Omochao at 5:00 PM EDT on April 4, 2006
I already tagged Mario Pinball Land, among other things, but when I sent it in, he just IGNORED it!
by Lunar at 4:13 AM EDT on April 5, 2006
Though surely it is the end result that matters, and not the process from which it is derived.
by marioman at 9:22 AM EDT on April 5, 2006
So UF, do you have ANY plans to resolve the delay at the beginning of the MPA tracks? It would be nice if you would fix it. Maybe you could have CS2 teach you how to completely resolve issues like this.
by unknownfile at 12:01 PM EDT on April 5, 2006
CS2 is usually passed out in an alley somewhere after having too much moonshine, so asking him to teach me would be completely useless.
by marioman at 1:02 PM EDT on April 5, 2006
Well nonetheless, I would appreciate it if you would at least try to get in touch with CS2 so the delay can be fixed.

Thanks.

by unknownfile at 8:20 AM EDT on April 6, 2006
I'm going to be working on a generic GSF ripping guide. Stay tuned...

AND HERE IT IS:

GSF Ripping Guide
by UNKNOWNFILE

v0.0 - initial release

CHAPTER 1: Getting stuff together:

You'll need:

- no$gba for debugging and instruction editing
- VisualBoy Advance for looking for song reads
- IDA Pro
- Highly Advance v0.11 or newer
- a good knowledge of RISC-based architecture (ARM is in ways similar to PowerPC and MIPS)
- various bits and bobs

CHAPTER 2: Finding the song select

Song numbers can either be found in memory (usually GAX-based games leave a song offset read
in the 0x300000 section), or in a register (generic driver games ALWAYS use a register). If you
can determine where this is, set a breakpoint if it's a big function. With generic driver games,
the song number will usually end up in r0.

The way I usually rip GAX games is that I look in the driver bank for what song is currently playing
then I search through the ROM for that exact same identifier then switch it with other known song
reads. Now this is usually troublesome, see chapter 4 for more stuff.

CHAPTER 3: Hacking the game and removing unused data

Once you've found the song select, you must then remove other unneeded functions, either by NOPing
them out, or placing the following asm code in a good place (preferably after the song select):

function_cpucut:
swi 2h // swi 20000h in ARM
b function_cpucut

This will cut the CPU and prevent further operations past that point.

CHAPTER 4: Minigsfs!

By now you've probably created your GSFLib, so here comes the next step:

Minigsfs can be created with minigsf.exe. But suppose you have just tweaked a byte read, now
you will need to create a binary file:

(all of these are reversed)
first 4 bytes: Entry point (either 0x80000000 or 0x20000000)
next 4 bytes: The offset we want to inject our data in (never start with an 0x0!)
next 4 bytes: The size of our data
next x bytes: the data itself

Then, using bin2psf, create the file using the following command:

bin2psf minigsf 0x22 file.bin

Now add a _lib=whatever.gsflib tag, and it should then work. (note: replace whatever.gsflib with the
gsflib's filename)

CHAPTER 5: Optimization

gsfopt -l *.minigsf

'nuff said. It will occasionally dump the GSFLib as one of the song names, so just rename it
and you should be done.

Megaman Battle Chip Challenge is up at GSF Central (though I encourage Jayster to not use craptapper next time)
by marioman at 4:52 AM EDT on April 7, 2006
And Mega Man Battle Network 5 has been updated on the 15th?!?!? UF, you are GOOD - I have never seen a person update a set in the future like that. :) Thanks Jayster for the BCC set. Now all Mega Man games for the GBA are available at GSF central.

By the way, did you ever get the MPA delay fixed? I have been trying to listen to the set, but it is kind of annoying ot have to wait four seconds to figure out which track you are listening to. Thanks for looking into that.
by unknownfile at 7:30 AM EDT on April 7, 2006
Just a feeble request for you:

Bug CS2 to add a silence suppression function.
by marioman at 9:58 AM EDT on April 7, 2006
OK, I will try to get a hold of him. You never really said if you were going to talk to him or not. I will get on that immediately.

--EDIT--

Well, I tried. Apparently, the E-mail address on the GSF page is able to be read by all of the admins. Therefore, I got a kind E-mail from UF telling me to quit spamming the account. (Honest mistake on my part.)

UF, I think I am going about this the wrong way. Why don't you give me the correct E-mail address and THEN I will contact CS2. Otherwise, I cannot do anything.

Try going to #psf on irc.zirc.org, and msg CS2 as whoever he is in that channel.
by marioman at 6:53 PM EDT on April 7, 2006
I don't use IRC, and I do not have the time to devote to setting it up, finding CS2, and then being fussed at for not knowing how to use it properly. Maybe someone who is more capable will do something.

Anyway, I would hope that it gets fixed soon. I would do all I could to tag it. However, if it is nobody if going to look at it, I guess I will have hold off on my tags.

--EDIT--

I looked at the gsflib myself, but No$GBA seems to have trouble reading parts of the code. There are quite a few functions in there that say IntWait, but when I hex edit them out the gsflib ceases to work.

Marioman: learn ARM/THUMB and try again.
by marioman at 12:10 PM EDT on April 8, 2006
Learning ARM is not the problem, why is it that NO$GBA will not recognize some of the instructions? It gets all upset because there is "unrecognized opcode" in the file. Isn't it all ARM instructions?

--EDIT--

I am sorry, I was in a hurry today and I did not see some of the previous posts.

FireDivine, if you would try to contact CS2 on IRC for me, I would appreciate it.

UF, I hope that I am not being a bother. Since Mario Party Advance is so close to completion I just want to help you finish it. As I said I am trying to help - please do not get irritated.

By the way, if I can get a free day to devote to timing, four sets on GSF Central will be completed. Two of which will be brand new sets.

OK, thank you UF. I will start looking for tags now. I will time it too.

Thanks again.

--EDIT--

I have been notified today that I will be very busy over the next four weeks or so. Because of this unfortunate turn of events, I will not be able to juggle real life issues, conversation here and GSF tagging at the same time.

So, I am going to have to go silent until I get a few things in order. However, UF you will be glad to know that some of the time that I would have spent posting here will be devoted to finishing a number of GSF sets.

I feel that I have been a little annoying lately and I sorry about that. I have been very busy as of late, and I have been scraping together a few minutes here and there to talk to you guys. This is why my recent posts have seemed incomplete/fractured - I just run out of time to finish my posts.

At any rate, when I return to normal posting, my rushed posts should be gone and there will be about 10 or so GSF sets that have been upgraded/added to the "Complete" list at GSF Central.

Thank you for your understanding.

I'm guessing you're thinking about what happened to the Mawaru Made in Wario rip.

It uses a thread to control audio and timing functions, and I cannot patch either one out. It is extremely frustrating to try this game over and over, just to come away unsuccessful. This means that this game will be put aside for now in favor of an easier game.

Oh yeah, One Piece Nanatsu Shima was released on GSF Central yesterday. It did not get ripped using craptapper. So stuff.

I also did some work on Jackie Chan Adventures and also came away unsuccessful. I managed to patch the game, but I cannot find a song select function.

Next, regarding Minna no Oujisama and Made in Wario, I'm going to try to attempt these over the summer or after summatives are over. These big-ass exams are starting to relieve me of spare time, so I'm going to have to drop xSF rips temporarily.

Finally, my WIP list:

Jackie Chan Adventures: I cannot find the sound select.
Made in Wario: I cannot patch out the unneeded data.
Mawaru Made in Wario: I cannot patch out the unneeded data.
Minna no Oujisama: I cannot find the song select.
Wario Ware: Twisted!: This one was put in here as a joke. Whoever likes this localization is braindead.
by unknownfile at 2:09 PM EDT on April 11, 2006
I've located the song select in Made in Wario, and I would not like to suffer the ordeal of attempting to patch out unneeded stuff until the long weekend.

Oh yeah, a few days ago, Mother 1 was pooped out of craptapper. So go get it, you stupid pricks!

Just an update on how I am progressing:

GSF Set - Progress

Spyro: Season of Ice - Done
Spyro 2: Season of Flame - Done
Game and Watch Gallery 4 - Done
Mario Party Advance - 70% Tagged
Mario Pinball Land - 70% Tagged

Couldn't rip: (Can tag, but couldn't rip.)

Mario Vs. Donkey Kong
Super Monkey Ball Jr.

Looking for Tags:

Donkey Kong: King of Swing

Hopefully I will get the remaining tagging/timing done soon.

One final question. Omochao, when you said that you tagged Mario Pinball Land, were you actually able to tag all of the tracks? There is a set of about 5 tracks that I cannot identify. They all sound like they are part of the same in-game music. If you have complete tags, have you tried re-submitting them? UF should be able to put them up for you now.

OK, I have said enough. Back to my silence.

Also, here is an update on the other sets that I am tagging.

Mario Party Advance - 5 tracks left to tag
Mario Pinball Land - Tagged, beginning to time.
Donkey Kong: King of Swing - Still looking...

I know that Omochao is working on Mario Pinball Land, but I figure that I will work on it too and see who gets done first.

I have also done some N64 and SNES tagging as well, but I simply cannot get either ZSNES or SNES9x to rip Super Punch-Out(the rip at snesmusic.org is missing a few tracks)

by marioman at 6:23 PM EDT on April 17, 2006
Oh, I see that you used the MP3s from Galbadia Hotel. Some of those track names are incorrect. (Such as the level names.) Also, I think that Kirby and the Amazing Mirror is already tagged/timed, as is Ruby/Sapphire. I thing that Wings Advance is OK though.

Anyway, if you want them put up, send them directly to GSF Central.

--EDIT--

Oh wait, only the file names have been changed. No actual tags or timing is present. In this case, GSF Central will not accept them unless they are fully tagged and timed. Sorry.

Mario Pinball Land us being tagged by marioman. I will not accept your tags.

Kirby & the Amazing Mirror is already finished.

Wings Advance is just renamed. Tags, times, and proper optimization are required. I will not accept the set without tags unless the set's been ripped by hand or had some part of the ripping process assisted by the person who sends me a set. This is because I once got flooded with saptapper sets sans tags, and my decision was to drop submission of tagless craptaps.

Mother 3 is complete (despite Sir Sabin's whining. it's only 3 notes).

Minna no Oujisama is also complete.

Both are up (without tags) at GSF Central.

And no, you may not jerk off to them, you sick fuck.
by chaos_warchild at 9:31 PM EDT on April 26, 2006
Are you sure you optimized Mother 3 correctly? I took a look at the GSF set and found songs that repeated and songs from the sound test missing.
by unknownfile at 12:41 PM EDT on April 27, 2006
Read the readme first, idiot.

Anyways, the HAM Krawall demo is up at GSF Central. Get it or I shall get you.

Mother 3 *fixed* has been sent off to Sir Sabin for cleaning.

Dr. Mario/Puzzle League with incredible modifications was run through saptapper earlier and is now being handled by Supakitchen.

And Megaman X7 PSF2 is still unmirrored. What the fuck?

Streamed PSFs are usually, well, ignored. Bandwidth reasons I guess.

Though you can get it here: ftp://ftp.modland.com/pub/modules/playstation%20sound%20format/yuko%20komiyama/

Done:

Mario Pinball Land
Super Monkey Ball Jr.

I am going to time DK: King of Swing (still no tags), and submit all three sets. Then, I will tackle timing the 90 track Mario Party Advance set. Also, I am going to work something out about Mega Man Zero 4. The current set does not have the OST track names, and I will somehow get the US-only tracks up.

--EDIT--

Oh yeah, I figured out the unknown tracks in Mario Pinball Land. They are all the music from the Red Coin Challenge, but they start at different points in the track. I included only the complete track.

Mario Vs Donkey Kong was designed by a doubleplusungood person who was crimethinking when he was buildthinking the game. I have sent this report of doubleplusungoodness to Minitrue and it will soon be corrected by Miniluv.

(Mario Vs Donkey Kong is too hard to rip. I'll try later.)

*Pulls out UNKNOWNFILE-ish to English dictionary*

Oh, I see. Hopefully you will be able to figure it out soon.

Update:
Mario Party Advance - 25% timed.
Mega Man Zero 4 (US/EUR) - Tagged.

"Mega Man Zero 4 (US/EUR) - Tagged."

Thank you! I hope to see it finished/hosted soon! I'm a big fan of Megaman-ish music. Mouser X out.
by marioman at 10:23 PM EDT on May 3, 2006
Yeah, I figured that you would be happy about that. (Seeing as you are a fellow Mega Man fan.) I will hopefully have it done in a week or two.

By the way, have you heard the music for the new Mega Man ZX game that is coming out? I think that the music on that game contstitutes the creation of a Nintendo DS music format!
by Mouser X at 10:52 PM EDT on May 3, 2006
I've only heard (and downloaded) the music they have on the website (it was only 2 songs, last time I went there). I fully agree. Great music, so far. Here's hoping that someone figures out the NDS audio ripping techniques. If not, then there's always MP3 OSTs converted to ADX (not as fun, not as space efficient, and you might be missing some "unreleased" track or 2). Though, I have to admit, I haven't tried that myself, I have considered it for Star Ocean 3 (and a few others). Hopefully it won't come down to that (I don't want to possibly degrade the sound quality through the conversion. Also, I don't want to have to go through the trouble of finding the loop points in the various files. Of course, I have no right, or room, to comment/complain about that, because MP3->ADX is almost certainly worlds easier than ripping NDS audio (or any ripped format, for that matter)).

[EDIT] Isn't this Megaman Zero 4? Or is that different from the one you're refering to? I downloaded that one when it was released, on Dec. 3rd (or 5th?). Did I miss something? I just don't want you to be wasting your time on something, if it's already been done, is all. Mouser X out.

perhaps you mean "justifies" rather than "constitutes"?
by marioman at 7:38 AM EDT on May 4, 2006
>> Isn't this Megaman Zero 4?

Yes and no. That is Rockman Zero 4. It has the tracks with Japanese voices. It was ripped before the US/EUR versions were released. Originally, I wanted to just add the non-JP tracks to the current set. However, UF did not want to do that, so I thought that I would rip the non-JP version as a separate set.

>> perhaps you mean "justifies" rather than "constitutes"?

http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=constitutes

"To found, to enact." Maybe, but I do not think so. Thanks for watching my work choice though. I tend to make mistakes like that.

--EDIT--

Oh yeah, I almost forgot. I am using the OST track names on the Zero 4 set. Also, the Rockman Zero 4 set is not timed properly - one track is not even timed at all.

Mouser X wrote the following to avoid an assraping:

The tags and times suck. Plus some tracks are missing from different versions.
by marioman at 8:30 PM EDT on May 4, 2006
Well...due to an unexpected event, I got some time to do some MAJOR timing today. Mario Party Advance and Mega Man Zero 4 have been given a first pass at timing. After I get a chance to double-check the timing, I will submit them.
by marioman at 10:00 PM EDT on May 5, 2006
I have finished both Mario Party Advance and Mega Man Zero 4, and I have sent them to UF. They will hopefully be up at GSF Central soon.
by unknownfile at 10:13 PM EDT on May 5, 2006
Please send them to me directly next time if you want me to update them.

Anyways, I ripped Mermaid Melody Pitchi Pitchi Pitch Pitchi Pitchi Party (MMPPPPPP) earlier today. It got optimized and stuff. Now, for another game which you're more interested in:

RAYMAN ADVANCE is in the optimization process. I have no comment on why VBA says it uses more CPU then no$gba.

"What's wrong with Super Punch Out SPC's? Are they sticking on the first note when you play them?"

Yes, that is what's happening.

funky... yet another obscure Japanese game that I've actually played... O_O

The Engine Replayer demo is more complete. Blablabalbalabal.
by unknownfile at 11:46 AM EDT on May 12, 2006
Alright, priority list for this weekend:

-One Piece King of Paris (the fuck?)
-Mawaru Wario (round 1049201341)
-Wario Ware (round 2)

I'm going to stay up uuuuuuuuuuber late tonight so I can maybe get these ones done.
by Mouser X at 7:03 PM EDT on May 13, 2006
For those of you who want to try your hand at music creation (old style, of course), check out some of the tools mention at Nullsleep. There's tools to create your own NSFs (meaning, ones you've composed yourself), and some for the GB/A. Whether the GB tools can be used to create GBS files, I couldn't tell (but chances are that it won't do it directly), but it certainly look like a pretty cool thing to do. If my attempts to use Nerd Tracker 2 hadn't been so horribly bad, I might consider trying some of these tools myself. Of course, do keep in mind that NT2 is really old software, and FamiTracker almost certainly out does in almost every way. At least, I'd assume so, since FT is under development still. And, a tutorial was just posted on the site about a week ago. So, learning to use it should be easier than ever... Maybe I should give it another try sometime. Mouser X out.

Finished experimental x86 patching to (unnamed game) recently, I will resume GSF ripping this weekend (there is a math test on Friday).
