Majora's Mask Midi's by dj4uk6cjm at 10:04 AM EST on December 1, 2014
Technically this is a request so I'm just throwing that out there but here are the midis from Majora's Mask (N64) in MML/ZSEQ/M64 format https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8rHgE_H8aJsY25BWS01YlBPaGM/view?usp=sharing. If someone could just extract the midi data (files) and upload it here and possibly make a quick and dirty soundfont with n64soundtool...it doesn't even have to be good, just good enough to play the midis in case no one wants to wait until 2015 for the MM3D rip. I cannot emphasize how much I would be appreciative for this. Thank you.
Probably not bit identical because the N64Tool doesn't display all the necessary information the game uses sadly. The Zelda 64 format is mostly unknown so you have to guess the correct key splits and key mapping and such.
Punks soundfont sure sounds better when paired up with OoT 3D midis, when the midis are arranged correctly that is...I tested it on the boss battle theme midi a year ago and the results were great actually better than I had hoped but MM still has more exclusive instruments so a soundfont would be extremely plausible and yes the quality of the songs would dramatically sound better than even the usf or original soundtrack rips at least imo.
I just wanted to address the issue :P I hope unknownfile is not dead and still lurking these forums, if no one can do it he can.
Someone has said the only way to extract the midis from both zelda 64 and MM from that format would be to simply hex and map the tracks but NOT simple at all as many would think to my understanding.
SEQ64 by dj4uk6cjm at 5:20 PM EST on February 2, 2015
Anyone know how to get this program working? Apparently it exports the sequences from OoT and MM to midi. I have tried contacting the owner but no response from him. :(
The README says Pre-built executables in bin folder for 32-bit Windows and 64-bit Linux (built on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS 64-bit, if it doesn't work download Juce and build it yourself!). Indeed, not even the 32-bit version runs on Windows. A shame for us who has virtually no knowledge in compiling programs..
Yeah, though it's probably only recordings of the sequence playback, maybe with some fine tuning/remastering processes applied in their sound studio. I doubt they've actually updated the sounds (samples) very much if at all.
EDIT: did Ocarina of Time 3D also use streams, btw? I never explored that myself.
Well the main goal was getting the original Majora's Mask sequences anyways but it looks like that's never going to happen so I'll stop bringing it up.
Hmm... There may be a way, once you have the sequence files on hand. I know a(n imperfect) way of converting SM64/MK64/SF64 sequences to MIDI. Perhaps it would work with Majora's Mask.
I'm interested if you have any ideas to convert them into midi then and we do have the sequences for MM but I don't think they're the same as the mario 64 and star fox 64 sequences.

Ocarina of Time did use a stream for the new credits.
@MurraySkull you mean Ocarina of Time 3D right? Don't forget that the original N64 version uses sequences too so it's a possibility that the credits theme is not streamed in that one.

Well I tried using SEQ64 again and it still didn't work, couldn't even load a rom. The guide is very vague and I'm starting to think the author is full of shit because he (keeps) claiming that he cannot release a midi rip of OoT or MM because it's copyright data and he wants to keep everything legal which I understand but c'mon...people have been waiting for a midi rip for how long? Years and he's really being a pain about not hosting the files on his website? Especially if it's for personal use only. How about properly teaching people how to rip them instead of holding them hostage? I think he's in it for the fame. -_-
I will explain how, I used this rom https://www.dropbox.com/sh/0x8n01kqwmmlel6/AAAZKKFV7jJpA6rMv-_8siYua/MM%20Decompressed.z64?dl=1 from WeinerlessSteve since I couldn't find any other decompressed rom. Then I loaded the rom into seq64, and clicked romdesc in the top left corner. Once doing that just find mm_info.xml and load that and it should work. If wondering how to load the sequences and extract them just double click audioseq index and select the song; click load sequence. Finally go to the midi file tab and click export midi and give the file a name.
...I don't think you were supposed to post a link to the actual rom here! :P besides I already have it but I'm just wondering how you got it to load in SEQ64 anyway? Ok look here when I load the program there is no button or function to load the rom, do I just drag and drop? The author said he didn't even add drag and drop functions and thanks if you can help me with this because I need the midis and if you can just upload the MM midis and save time that would be great!
I still have a download link to the 3ds version if you want it but again as everyone here has pointed out to soneek, the midis are not aligned, pitch bends are out of tune and the midis overall do not sound like they should be. Have a listen for yourself and you'll find out.
Heres another link if anyone needs the OoT3D midis but remember, bad rip. Cseq2Midi probably needs some tweaking or something but as I said before. Proper rips of the original N64 Ocarina of Time would greatly help, then we'd have midis for both games.
Also sauraen did say he would make a Majora's Mask soundfont in the future but I doubt he will release that either.
I have the decompressed rom of OoT if you can work with that but of course I can't post it here and theres no private messaging system I believe so you can reach me on the ffshrine forums if you can do this as I would like to have the OoT (N64) midis as well, thanks.
That's actually the only download link and an old one at that I had of OoT3d with the SM3DL midis bundled together as another mirror for them a year ago when soneeks links were down. :P
Nevermind...here are the oot midis I figured it out and I know why now.....all I have to say is I hate SEQ64 and I hate sauraen, why the hell would someone make a program and set the default window screen size of that program larger than that actual operating system screen size? That is pure bullshit! Goddammit it makes no sense!! Why would he do this?? Sigh...anyways I got the midi files and that's what counts lol and you gotta admit, the midi files are a hell of a lot better than the OoT3D midis thank god *rolls eyes* ugh.
For anyone having problems with loading the damn thing (as in rom) in windows 7, go to control panel; appearance and personalization, display and then use the magnifier tool when using the program. That should make things clearer.
@dkbk64 I know bro they're awesome! :D and definitely better than anything the OoT3D midis had. Pitch bends work, notes aren't out of place in fact all of the notes for each midi are there! (Woo!) reverb, expression controls, modulation etc. it's all just perfect man and everything I had imagined it would be. The only problem really is that some of the drum samples are mapped differently I think but there may be a way to fix that easily as they're still in the right place, in the right order.
Haha guys we did it! We got near original perfect quality midi rips of Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask finally!!!! It's a great week. :)
First thing I'm going to do with these bad boys is run them through ProteusVX and see what results I can achieve.
I updated my soundfont (OoT) to play the Fire Temple theme correctly with all key maps and such. You still need to assign the correct patch numbers though as OoT/MM handles those really weirdly.
Since I don't think sauraen will ever release a soundfont for Majora's Mask (publically to say the least...) has anyone figured out how the Audiobank works in Majora's Mask and if there is a way to extract it or convert the samples to soundfont? Pic here of what I'm talking about.
Rubberfacefruit have you found a way? Please let me know if so.
If someone knows how to decompress the Mario Kart 64 and Yoshi's Story roms fill me in, would love to add the YS midis to my collection if possible and thanks.
Mario Kart 64 & Yoshi's Story Midi's!!! by dj4uk6cjm at 9:41 PM EDT on March 24, 2015
Fuck yes! We have the midis for Mario Kart 64 and Yoshi's Story don't ask how I got these :) got lucky. Damn this thread keeps updating lol I couldn't find a soundfont for MK64 or YS anywhere online. :(
No, thank you guys for motivating me to pursue my dreams of collecting the midis for my 2 most favorited zelda soundtracks of all time! My life is now complete thanks to you guys and you all are awesome!!! :D
There's no staff roll/End Credits II... Would like to have the midi of it. It's not the "End Credits I"
Updated! by dj4uk6cjm at 9:25 PM EDT on March 28, 2015
No problem, I think rubberfacefruit forgot to add them so I've updated the midi rip with the last 4 songs (which I believe are the last) Ending Credits II, Ending ~Dawn of A New Day~ the Love Theme & Last Call to the Giants.
This is probably the most complete, accurate rip of Majora's Mask :) download here and enjoy.
Found them, for some reason the missing midis were under the names of the header info unlike the others with their original names so I couldn't find them at first, so yeah they were basically nameless lol and I didn't feel like renaming them :P so here you go https://www.dropbox.com/s/j2oms5kjxrj9upb/missing%20oot%20midis.7z?dl=0 FYI the OoT Hyrule Field theme midi begins at 15 and ends at 35.
Wrong first note by Alvin0931 at 7:05 AM EDT on July 11, 2021
Hello dj4uk6cjm, thanks for the rips. Unfortunately, a lot of them play the first note wrongly. It's like the mid file gets played before the soundfont is connecting to it. Funny thing is, once it's going on from within a full loop/cycle, it plays the first note correctly. The issue only occurs the first time starting up the mid file. This issue is with most of the Main_Orchestra sf2 songs. So most of Hyrule Field Themes as well as the Kokiri Forest. And lastly the middle boss battle song is wrong for a large portion on the higher strings midway through. Is there any way I could fix the first note issue? Thanks in advance!
EDIT - https://hylianmodding.com/?p=2274 https://youtu.be/qpPzR-FodYc I'm using these soundfonts.

Wrong first note by Alvin0931 at 7:52 AM EDT on July 12, 2021
I figured it out for the Kokiri forest one. It's exactly what I suspected. Edit the midi, ctrl+a and drag all notes a bit further away from the start and then it plays the first note correctly.
Solved issue by Alvin0931 at 1:41 PM EDT on July 13, 2021
Finally solved the issue. Shifting the notes is never recommended. What I did instead was digging deeper into the midi and I found out that the note on triggered before the program change event. So I edited the execution order for each track and it now plays exactly as it should.
oot missing files by jeexx at 2:58 PM EST on January 6, 2022
Hello. from the dropbox of the missing files does anybody know what track 14 is supposed to be? thanks for all the resources!
missing file by jeexx at 11:20 PM EST on January 13, 2022
The only track I found missing was the shooting gallery theme, but i don't think that is track 14 from the missing oot file.
missing ganondorf's organ by jeexx at 1:36 PM EST on February 4, 2022
It seems that the files are also missing the full organ playing on anon's tower. i would appreciate if somebody has access to this particular track in full.
OoT Missing Midis by WheelmanMitch at 9:43 AM EDT on April 4, 2022
The above message from jeexx is right. From the OoT midi files, we are missing Shooting Gallery, Ganon's Organ (full version) and we are missing Ganondorf's Theme (strings). Is someone able to grab these files? Also, track 14 from "missing oot files" appears to be a combined ambient midi.
Ambient midis tend to have a lot of elongated notes. This midi likely contains all background ambiance tracks, including Destroyed Market and Hyrule Field Night.
