DSP file format specification (need header) by valiant at 4:15 PM EDT on September 13, 2006
Hey there!
Could someone please inform me about the DSP file format?
I need the header for the dual-file stereo format because I want to extract files from the demo.dat archive in "Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes". I'll have to do this manually with a hex editor because I don't think there's an extractor for the dual-file DSPs yet. So could you please give me the header data? Thanks in advance. :)

Dual file stereo format headers are exactly the same as mono headers, there are just two files. At least for standard (Metroid Prime 1) DSP.

Did some research.
All of the cutscene audio's dialogue is hard-encoded into the music files in OGG format. The files are packed in movie.dat/demo.dat/vox.dat. Unfortunately I was just able to extract a few of them manually and there are playback issue - there is no distortion but every two or so seconds, half a second of the file is missing.

Nova Software Extractor splits the OGG files into thousand single OGG/OGM files so this is not an option either.
Since it's not possible to rip the cutscene audio without dialogue a line-in rip seems most plausible.
