Ok so I have the iso ready, but just realized I need some kind of tool to extract the files within. I tried Cubeway+, but it just extracts fake 0KB files. Where are the real tools?
Also am I wasting my time? Is the music readable? I dont see a distrobution of the music files here. Can anyone clue me in?
Use either GC Explorer or GC-Tool. GC Explorer is a little better since it lets you extract whole folders from the ISO.
You'll get a lot of DSPs which can be listened to with the in_cube plugin. The cutscene audio is in OGG format, albeit a very weird one I can't bring to play properly. It skips a lot of the parts and has to be extracted manually through a hex editor.
I meant to reply to this post earlier, but I didn't have time when I saw it first, and I forgot later. GC Explorer is probably the tool I'd recommend you use. However, HCS has a newer version on his site, and it's in English (as opposed to the French one Ferramenta linked to). Here's a direct link. This can be found in the "Hall of Lost Files." Hopefully that helps. Sorry I didn't reply sooner.
Ferramenta: I have no idea what the differences are between 1.04 and 1.06. But if you're interested, you might find that useful as well. Mouser X over and out.
Oops, forgot to mention it here, but we did get it worked out. I pointed him to the hall of lost files, he found the DSPs (had to be renamed), and all was well.
