These are probably > 2 channel files. While I've seen them and it is probably straightforward to extract, I haven't written anything to do it yet. FastElbja, have you?
Prime Blue: The music seems to be pretty good, but I am curious as to how Bowser's Castle sounds. Rainbow Road is alright, maybe not as good as in 64 and Double Dash. Award Ceremony is a remix of the 64 and Super Circuit version.
Please! Somebody must write a Tool to play these Files. The Music in this Game is awesome. I only heard a few Tracks of the Game but I can say the Tracks are very chill (Mario-Game-Like).^^ I´ve ripped the Music of the Credits of the Game from a Video I found on the Net. Sorry for the bad Quality! Mario Kart Wii - Credits Music Rip
Check it out and maybe sommebody like this Tunes and build a Tool for play them in Winamp.;)
Thanks jurassicPieter for waste your time for this!^^ I really love the Soundtrack. When youre done with ripping and when it will come up? Which Bitrate do you use for the Soundtrack? Please use a higher Bitrate as 160 kBits. When the Quality is lower then this, the Sound will sucks.:) And which 1Click-Hoster do you use? (When you don´t have an own Server ^^") I don´t like Rapid, I always usw Megaupload.;)
Yeah someone ripped it but at 128kbps.. on FFshrine.. VBR is probably the best extreme or something ;).. Anyway thanks for your hard work doing this ^_^ Any chance to get the brstms? ;)
They're available. I don't know if they're on HCS's site (they're not, that I know of), but I do know they're available. Due to the preferences of those doing the releases, I am unable to provide a link to the set. If you join us on IRC @ irc.freenode.net channel #usf then maybe we could work something out. Just FYI, they were put up 3 days ago. Mouser X over and out.
I put the brstrm that don't work because of the number of channels issue in the main directory and the brstrm's that do work inside the strm directory including the thp files converted to dsp. the sound library revokart.brsar is included but no file can be extracted from it.
part 1 http://www.megaupload.com/nl/?d=T5CKNWZL part 2 http://www.sendspace.com/file/296ww9 part 3 http://www.megaupload.com/nl/?d=GWDQRO64 part 4 http://www.sendspace.com/file/7f86yi
yeah..its quite a large file (the one not supported currently). They others all play great.. It's cool there is music from other mario kart games also :)
On the torrent sites you can find the large pack of brstms :) they all work fine.. and sound great. YES it would be nice to hear the missing ones and the contents of the brsar someday :) Im in No rush :P:P
vgmstream r73 (build up as soon as sourceforge updates mirrors) supports multi-channel brstm decoding. Only in the command line version (test.exe), though, where it can safely write many-channel .wavs. You can then do whatever you want with the many channels in an appropriate audio editor.
I'm not happy with the looping yet, though, something is awry and popping at the loop point.
Thanks HCS!^^ I converted the Files to Waves (with Test.exe) and tried to open it. WMP will shutting down. The VLC Media Player only play the first 2 Channels and I searched a solution to extract the other channels. I finally used Adobe Audition 2.0 to split the Tracks (Waves) and mix them into a final Song that looped twice with every Version theTrack has. When somebody want my Versions of the Songs, (Mp3 at 192 K´Bits) I can upload it.^^ But I think I done a big mistake because I switched the Audio-Channels. (L=R and R=L) But I don´t know at the Moment. ;)
For whatever it's worth, it wasn't a substantial change. Hopefully that speaks to the quality of the vgmstream design. Still not sure what the issue is with looping, though.
