CaitSith2 was also working on Blast Corps last I'd heard, but that was a while ago. He sent me a timed set which is in the preliminary directory.
volume tags by wrldwzrd89 at 2:46 PM EDT on May 27, 2005
I'm considering applying volume tags to all of the USF sets I have. The vast majority of them need a boost of 2 - the most notable exception is the preliminary Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards rip, which needs a boost of 5 before it sounds loud enough.

If you need a space to upload volume batch files I wouldn't mind hosting 'em here.

Wait, what are you basing that in? They just sound quieter than your MP3s or what?

How they relate to 0.0db, I imagine? I've noticed that they do tend to be quieter than you'd expect.

For People who want a nearly ready USF Set (Blast Corps) can downloaded it here.
BUT! There aren't all Songs renamed and they aren't tagged or timed. But U or hcs could say something about it.If its okay to name it like I do or if he want it in an other way..

Yeah, I'm setting the volumes based on a by-ear approximation of 0.0db. I don't have any other way to measure that I know of.

Now its more ready...

wrldwzrd, you might want to try using cooledit/goldwave or some such, recording the output from winamp into that and watching where the tracks peak. You have to be careful not to go too close to 0.0db since there's not going to be a limiter on USFs and naturally it's going to clip if it goes too much higher. Ultimately though, so long as it's not blaringly loud/has distortion it's probably not going to be much of a problem.
