VGMStream isn't causing the crashes, it's some DSP plug-in which can play the normal versions but not the multi-channel ones. VGMStream isn't appearing in my plug-ins.
Did you recently update Winamp/install Winamp over an older version that had VGMstream already installed? I don't know if it was ever fixed, but Winamp's installer corrupts VGMstream's DLL files. Perhaps that's what happened? The other option (I've done this numerous times to figure out what's causing the problems I've had) is to remove all your plugins (put them in a different folder or something) and put them back in bit by bit until you find the one that's causing problems. Keep in mind that some plugins require multiple DLL files for them to work, or else they'll crashes as well. I usually do this in groups of plugins, since I have so many.
Hopefully that helps. I'm running out of time, otherwise I'd try to come up with others ideas. Mouser X over and out.
Sorry if this is a stupid question, but could you provide the links to the 'latest' (dlls and plugin) that you are using? Something may have gone awry with a particular build.
I put both the plug-in and the files into Winamp\ and Winamp\Plugins\. It usually works but not this time.
@manako:Which C++ Redist is this? The readme doesn't mention it needing one, and surely I would have it if my previous version worked? (Unless this is a new requirement)
