Why hasn't anyone done these? by Zetto Kuzuuya at 7:49 AM EST on December 30, 2017
So, apart from me forgetting Jojo's Venture (The port of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure Heritage for the future for the playstation) Resident Evil 2 was also on the n64....Why hasn't anyone ripped or made a soundfont from these?
We need to see if N64oundtool supports it. Maybe it doens't support,so nobody made or tried to mkae one :/

Someone managed to do this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H_dBujTLG6g but I checked and they don't loop properly, plus the percussions are all seperate, this is the only thing I could find, maybe someone can fix them
N64 Sound Tool 1.4 (not soundbank) tool can rip the sounds including loops. But it is not in the N64 Soundbank Tool because the midis program #s do not correspond to the sounds...every game has their own hardcoded lookups. So it's kind of tricky for Musyx.
The thing with RE2 on PS1 (like all PS1 games, which use VAB banks at least) is that, to the best of my knowledge, proper sample rates cannot be found/calculated. It's something I've researched for a long time now, too (see e.g. this post). I don't know if it's the same case for N64 samples, but if it isn't, it could be an advantage obviously.

the soundbank for this is 23.1MB I don't know if it is the n64 or ps1 version though

also what of the jojo ones? The arcade cps3 version could be ripped, and has, but the samples cannot be fixed, nor do they loop properly, issues with pitch, etc. but what of the ps1 port? Jojo's venture?
The ps1 version of Jojo is likely streamed, so the samples you want may not be rip-able. For the arcade version, someone may have done those by hand which maybe why there are issues.
That Resident Evil 2 soundbank is probably from the ps1 version since ripping from the n64 version only became possible recently. I highly doubt it's from the Dreamcast version.
