Spongebob .SNDS/SNDI Files by jeangene91 at 2:28 PM EST on January 30, 2018
I have been ripping audio from [i]The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie[i] for Xbox, PlayStation and Gamecube. So far, I have playable audio from the Xbox version already and would like to compare audio from the PlayStation and Gamecube versions.
For PlayStation, I have tried using VGMToolbox to create .genh files, but I cannot get the proper Interleave/Block Size (The closest I have gotten is 0x5000). I can manage to get them to play when the Channels is set to 1, but I am sure it is stereo. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1yXbnVQf18YZsM9_NF-MW_-NDio3rgIdY
The PS2 files look mono to me. Maybe the game uses trickery to get stereo.
The SDNI has all sounds in .fsb format and must be extracted. The index table is at the end, if you know how to make .bms, or you could maybe try VGMToolbox file extractor by finding the word "FSB3", probably playable but leaves a bit of garbage between files.
HELLO MYGOSHI I saw you ripped the ps2 version of cftkk's soundtrack, however there are tracks that are exclusive to the wii version, and i wondered if you had ever tried to rip those.
Hello. If you want to discuss about this, just create a new thread or PM me somewhere. This thread is dedicated to something in particular: helping jeangene91 with Spongebob Movie Game audio files. Thanks.
I see. For extracting the FSB3 files, do I use Virtual File System Extractor or one of the others?
Mygoshi, may I ask how you get you files to sound so clear? Comparing my .wav files with what you posted on Youtube, mine are mostly clear, but sound like there is crackling at some parts. (Here is one .wav file to see what I mean.) Did you use a different method other than VGMToolbox's "Create GENH"?
Ah yes, sorry I forgot to mention this. If you want to remove the unwanted crackling noises, take your GENH file and add a Xbox ADPCM header to it. In order to do this, you'll need a script written by Alpha23.
Once you downloaded the RAR and opened it, place the two scripts inside the same folder as QuickBMS. Launch QuickBMS, take the "func_header_XADP.bms" script, and apply it to all your GENH files. Normally, it will outputs LWAV files. To remove the noises, use ToWAV Music Converter (download here towav.rar). Place all your LWAV in the same directory as ToWAV and launch "ConvAll.bat". All the LWAV are going to be converted to WAV, and all the noises are reduced.
Using "func_header_XADP.bms" doesn't make the .lwav files. They are made if I use "header_XADP.bms".
But, converting them with ToWAV is not working. Double-clicking the .bat file does nothing. Neither does dragging the .lwav files into it (or towav.exe).
