N64SoundTool issue "failed to start" by Rhymelie at 3:52 AM EDT on July 5, 2020
So after learning vgmtrans, gbamusriper, and even GBfan, I've been trying to figure out how to use N64SoundTool, but I can't even seem to get it running, as every time I try, Windows 10 gives me the message: "The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log or use the command-line sxstrace.exe tool for more detail." Not going to lie, I have no idea what it's referring to or how to fix/work around this issue. If anyone could give me a hint or a hand for what to do (or not do), I'd greatly appreciate it!!! Thanks in advance for any and all information.

Thanks a TON for pointing these out to me. The person who showed me this tool gave me a link to some Dropbox or whatever, and made no mention that these needed to be installed. So now, I can indeed open the thing, and the list of compatible games is much longer than I even imagined.
HOWEVER...
I'm getting decompression sickness from all the decompression errors I'm getting whenever I try to rip any of these supported games' tracks from their ROM's. I've looked around online, but I can't seem to find answers. I have no doubt it's my own lack of knowledge that I'm doing something wrong, but what is it please?
EDIT: Aaand as soon as I post this absent minded question, I figured it out. There are several versions of the same game, and I automatically assumed the English version meant the U.S. release. It... does not ._. And because I chose the wrong one, the programme had decompressing errors, so please disregard that last bit there, I'm just a big twat! Thanks again, though, and this programme is a D R E A M!
