I'm mildly interested in grabbing the FLAC release, so that I can create improved ADXs for use in Rockbox. Currently, I'm using the original DSP set, converted to ADX.
Primeblue, you don't happen to keep a record of the loop points you used on hand, do you? It'd make things so much easier if I didn't have to "reloop" everything, since you've already done the work.... However, I doubt you've kept a record of this. But I thought I should at least ask first. Mouser X over and out.
That was a crosspost over from GFF, so I guess vBulletin added the quotation marks.
I updated my post with the FLAC link.
Unfortunately no, I don't keep track of the loop points. Mostly because some of the editing is done in multi-track view and I don't have to "classically" loop every file. If I don't forget about it next time I have to set the points manually for a rip, I'll document it a bit better. Might happen with MP2 even, though from what I've heard so far, there are not so many problems with those DSPs.
Yah, I didn't expect you to have the loop points. But if you're willing to try to keep track of them for the future, that'd be awesome! I don't know how many people would utlize them, but I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who would use them (bxaimc might also.... Other than that, I'm not sure....).
Thanks again for your efforts, and thanks in advance for continued effort (and loop point data, if possible). Mouser X over and out.
No, I only did an MP3 rip (mostly converted from the PlayStation 2 ADXs) sometime in late 2005. You can still get it from the original download link I posted here, but I wouldn't bother with it since all the cutscene sound effects are hard-encoded into the files.
Speaking of which, I would love CAPCOM to revisit biohazard 4 and release all missing cutscene music on an extra CD, akin to the BIOHAZARD 2 Complete Track. But that'll never happen. Because they're not that gracious.
