It can read Mario Party games, and that's not Rare, for a start. Neither is Super Smash Bros, or the Turok games.

So, you can't get DLS or soundbanks from the USF, in VGMTrans, but is there anyway, at all to rip the soundbanks from a USF, such that, simply converting to SF2 will give you the actual proper soundfont, which contains the CORRECT instruments, AND the correct attack, decay, sustain, and release values?

Also, I tried doing this with VGMTrans and a PS game, but I just got bored of having to press "OK" literally a few thousand times because it kept saying something about articulation.

Wouldn't the ADSR values be controlled by the driver and not the instruments? I'm probably wrong though.

and I don't see why you couldn't rip any games' instrument set (it's been done before) but it's apparently so difficult/tedious that people have just given up.

I didn't know it could read the mario party games, thanks for the input.

Yeah I got it to work with diddy kong racing and that is a rare game but not with banjo kazooie or banjo tooie but it's possible I had the wrong rom checksum but in any event yeah it can't extract the dls from the usfs, only the midis. :(

It works with Banjo-Kazooie, and Banjo-Tooie, doesn't it?

Or is that only N64MIDITool?

I do have that version that rips N64 games... However it does not rip DLS... Is there some feature I am missing??

As far as I know, it's not that it can't be done... it's that no one knows how.
