Wait wait wait WHAT?!?
Majora's Mask 3D uses streamed music?!
- by Lunar at 11:56 PM EST on February 11, 2015
- Yeah, though it's probably only recordings of the sequence playback, maybe with some fine tuning/remastering processes applied in their sound studio. I doubt they've actually updated the sounds (samples) very much if at all.
EDIT: did Ocarina of Time 3D also use streams, btw? I never explored that myself.

- Nah, it was sequenced.

- Well the main goal was getting the original Majora's Mask sequences anyways but it looks like that's never going to happen so I'll stop bringing it up.

- Hmm... There may be a way, once you have the sequence files on hand. I know a(n imperfect) way of converting SM64/MK64/SF64 sequences to MIDI. Perhaps it would work with Majora's Mask.

- I'm interested if you have any ideas to convert them into midi then and we do have the sequences for MM but I don't think they're the same as the mario 64 and star fox 64 sequences.

- Ocarina of Time did use a stream for the new credits.
- by dj4uk6cjm at 4:24 AM EST on February 14, 2015
- @MurraySkull you mean Ocarina of Time 3D right? Don't forget that the original N64 version uses sequences too so it's a possibility that the credits theme is not streamed in that one.

- Yes, I mean 3D.

- Well I tried using SEQ64 again and it still didn't work, couldn't even load a rom. The guide is very vague and I'm starting to think the author is full of shit because he (keeps) claiming that he cannot release a midi rip of OoT or MM because it's copyright data and he wants to keep everything legal which I understand but c'mon...people have been waiting for a midi rip for how long? Years and he's really being a pain about not hosting the files on his website? Especially if it's for personal use only. How about properly teaching people how to rip them instead of holding them hostage? I think he's in it for the fame. -_-
