- That's a GBA/DS title. Those pretty much always use the built in square wave generator.

- REPOST: I'm sorry to interrupt whatever was going on here while I was away, but if anyone happens to have any of Roland's Super JV modules with the SR-JV80-10 expansion board (titled "Bass & Drums"), then would it be a problem for you to sample these kits from it and make them into soundfonts or something?

Appearently, they can both be heard here:

Most importantly, the track titled "Theme of Lu Bu -DW Fire Mix-, the track who's drumbeats I'm trying to recreate, plays at 26:14 in the video.
I know I could get the expansion board myself (I have a JV-1080), but I don't have the money right now (I might consider getting it later for Christmas or something). Thanks in advance.

- I found something from Lemmings on the SNES.
Korg M1 was used

This preset was all over the place. it is called busy talk.
Also, I hear XGLite in other stuff too, maybe a lot of games use Yamaha PSR/DGX/Tyros keyboards.

Also, I heard the synth bass 1 preset on sound canvas in a lot of Nintendo DS/GBA titles.

You're right! The Synth Bass 1 sample was used for a GBA game soundtrack: The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap. It's especially noticable in the Minish Village theme. This was the result when I played that song with the General MIDI soundfont:

BTW, I think I've heard the Busy Talk sample before, but I don't remember where. Maybe it was used in a SNES game?

- I'm not entirely sure about this. I browsed through the Vintage Vault by UVI which I purchased recently and stumbled upon, what I think are, the strings from A Link to the Past. It's really hard to tell because of the quality difference. It's from a Kurzweil K250. That model came out in 1984 but maybe the patch was reused in later model if anybody knows if Kondo ever owned any Kurzweil keyboards. Kurzweil strings and game version.

Good find, I don't think it's hard to tell. It sounds almost exactly like the strings in A Link to the Past, IMO! But it's very compressed, and the reverb is different.

- Oh, yeah! I believe I also found the pizzicato strings from Chrono Trigger a while back in Zero-G Nostalgia. It's from a Yamaha SY85. Original.

- Why isn't OoT samples included in the spreadsheet in the beginning of the thread?

- Nice find on the LttP strings! That sounds like them all right.
@G-Boy, there's been a lot of postings on here that aren't on the spreadsheet sadly.

Not to mention, I'm pretty much spamming at this point)?
