- yes, that seems to help. I also logged into some machines on the other side of the building so it should be even quicker (those dont use HT)

- mwa ha ha! harnessing the vast computing resources for your own nefarious nefariocity!
oh, and I guess you shouldn't worry too much about 0x95-0x99, they're not listed as being anything with that code, so I'd presume they're just silence anyway.

- excellent, much less work for me. Much, much, Much too much.
Assuming they are silence.
Well almost done.

- Very unusual music by unknownfile at 4:40 AM EDT on October 14, 2005
- I just listened to music from Myst II (Riven), and I noticed it is very unusual. Teh link! ;p
I also got this for my Mac several years back. Due to constant crashings on the mac, I haven't played Riven for a while. Hopefully I can unearth the five CDs soon for monsieur Windows XP Desktop avec un Pentium 4 trois GHz. (Yes, I do speak some french, at least Canadian French.)
- by hcs at 5:12 AM EDT on October 14, 2005
- Heh, I never got very far in Myst and my frustration carried over to never bothering with any of the sequels. I always thought it was a great idea, though, I just suck at video games.
- by unknownfile at 7:51 AM EDT on October 14, 2005
- I never played the original Myst, but I did play Riven. I never finished it, though it's a sweet game, especially when you ride around in those things that travel on tracks above vast distances of water.
By the way, I'm highly considering making a flash page for my main site (which is currently coded in PHP). I think that if I do this, however, that some space might be lost.
And did I ever mention I started the cello sometime way back when?
- Sim City 2000 Sim-Melody by hcs at 11:23 AM EDT on October 24, 2005
- Now featured in the bonus directory: Sim City 2000 Sim-Melody, an arranged (though not too much) soundtrack from the console version of the venerable city simulator. This copy was on Slightly Dark a few months ago but has since been rotated out. I thought it would go nicely with the SC2K USF set.
Thanks to Josh for uploading it.

- Zelda no Densetsu, Toki no Ocarina by hcs at 10:05 AM EST on October 31, 2005
- I am now the proud owner of my first N64 soundtrack, Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
Unfortunately it's a very low quality release... I'm having read errors with EAC and I just took it out of the shrinkwrapped jewel case and it looks spotless. I'm fairly sure it isn't bootleg, it just looks like they did a really shitty job with it.
Then again, the version I find reviewed online is PCCG-00475 (Pony Canyon), whereas this one is KO-99116 (KO Recording Ltd.), though I think that's the same publisher for the Hellsing soundtrack. I guess it's just a reissue, but it's a lousy one.

The more I look at this and the other discs I got from the same seller the more convinced I am that they're shitty reproductions. The one cover looks clearly photocopied, and the back insert is printed on both sides but behind a black disc holder (which was partially broken!) so you can't see part of it. Tau Analyzer seemed a bit confused and recognized some tracks as MPEG encoded but most as UNKNOWN, which seems to indicate to me that it's from dithered MP3s. Time to see what I can do about getting my money back.
I looked briefly on eBay and it seems that EVERY OTHER COPY being sold is from some bizarre brand, abnormally cheap. WTF?

- I just wanted to let Mouser know that I've resolved the strange problem we had with strange track lengths in Falcom Vocal Collection 2. It turns out that someone switched track 10 between disc 1 and disc 2 (including names) and the same with track 6 in my case (maybe not for you since you said 10 was the only odd one). Now it checks out against freedb.
