- OoT Fire Temple Variation & Wipeout64 Q by bcass at 6:29 AM EDT on August 4, 2006
- Hi there,
I know this is probably an old topic (I think I brought it up on the pre-forum forum a few years back)...
As most of you will no doubt be aware, the PAL/NTSC-J versions of OoT have a different version of the Fire Temple music than that featured in the NTSC-U release. Are there any plans to add this variation (I think the current rip is from the NTSC-U release)?
Secondly, is there any other reason why the Wipeout 64 rip is still preliminary, other than the fact that it has not yet been tagged? If not, then I would be prepared to tag this set, if no-one else has plans to.
- WinAmp not playing songs! Help plz! by ScrewedThePooch at 9:04 AM EDT on August 6, 2006
- Awhile ago I downloaded a few plugins to play rips of video game music (NSF files, SPC files, etc). I recently downloaded this plugin to play N64 rips (USF), and the first time I loaded a file, it worked. Now, every time I try to play USF, it loads the file in the playlist and the player, but doesn't do ANYTHING. It just sits there, and doesn't play the song. Can someone please help?

(10:52:23) <anewuser> what type of music does it sound to you (besides being bad music)

(10:54:27) <Mouser_X> OOO! Have you listened to any Country rap?

(10:54:58) <anewuser> rap, I have.
(10:55:02) <anewuser> Country, too.
(10:55:09) <Mouser_X> But no Country rap?
(10:55:14) <anewuser> but a mixture of both :S
(10:55:23) <anewuser> I guess not
(10:55:41) * anewuser listen to some daft punk right now
(10:55:42) <Mouser_X> Just wondered.
(10:55:55) <Mouser_X> I've heard that Country + rap = crap.
(10:56:03) <anewuser> lol
(10:56:06) <Mouser_X> I used to listen to Daft Punk.
(10:56:09) <@hcs> a have rap + Pachabell's Canon
(10:56:25) <anewuser> pachabell's canon? (not familiar with that)
(10:56:44) <Mouser_X> It's a classical piece of music.
(10:56:46) <@hcs> it's a classical tune which you're probably heard
(10:57:09) <Mouser_X> I prefer Pachebell's Ganon.
(10:57:20) <Mouser_X> Or however it's spelled.
(10:57:29) <Mouser_X> It's on OC ReMix
(10:57:36) <Mouser_X> I think it's by DJ Pretzel.
(10:57:48) <@hcs> yep
(10:59:31) <anewuser> heh
(10:59:52) <anewuser> hmmm, don't use opera for bittorrents...it will crash with time
(11:00:10) <Mouser_X> Thanks for the info.
(11:00:34) <@hcs> I am currently using azuereus to get the Gedo no Senki OST
(11:00:49) * Mouser_X uses オTorrent.
(11:01:33) <Mouser_X> Based on the tests I did, BitTornado is the best, followed by オTorrent.
(11:01:48) <Mouser_X> Though, Azereus was pretty good as well.
(11:02:16) * anewuser uses utorrent
(11:02:30) <anewuser> lousy opera can't download .torrent files properly
(11:02:51) <Mouser_X> anewuser: Based on what I've so far, you seem to have been a little off when you said the last 4 minutes were bad...
(11:02:53) <anewuser> it thinks it's going to download (I just want the torrent, and let utorrent do the job)
(11:02:53) <Mouser_X> Like, about 3 zeros off.
(11:03:05) <Mouser_X> So, say about 40:00
(11:03:12) <anewuser> haha
(11:03:21) <anewuser> you went to all of it?
(11:03:36) <Mouser_X> So far, yes.
(11:03:45) <anewuser> you masochist!
(11:03:47) <Mouser_X> As I said though, I listened to it at an increased speed.
(11:04:47) <Mouser_X> Wow....
(11:04:52) <Mouser_X> You were right...
(11:05:07) <Mouser_X> The last 4 minutes are really really relly bad...
(11:05:11) <Mouser_X> *really
(11:06:33) <Mouser_X> What did they do to get some of these recordings? Torrture a poor cat?
(11:06:46) <Mouser_X> These vocals are crap.
(11:07:29) <anewuser> and that was actually performed
(11:07:31) <Mouser_X> playing: "Arc the Lad - Anger" [2kbps][44kHz][Stereo]
(11:07:43) <Mouser_X> SO MUCH BETTER!!!
(11:08:08) <anewuser> haha!
(11:08:29) <Mouser_X> playing: "The Wingless - Sigma Seven -- The Trinity Effect" [160kbps][44kHz][Stereo]
(11:08:35) <Mouser_X> I deleted taht TSR file.
(11:08:39) <Mouser_X> *that
(11:09:54) <Mouser_X> Seriously, who could actually stomach that terrible performance?
(11:09:59) <Mouser_X> I would have waked out...
(11:10:04) <Mouser_X> *waklked
(11:10:17) <Mouser_X> Unless, for some reason, I thought it might get better
(11:10:22) <Mouser_X> Which was the case here.
(11:10:34) <anewuser> depends on your musical taste
(11:10:54) <anewuser> again, musically, I like it. Vocally, x.x
(11:10:56) <Mouser_X> ...
(11:11:00) <Mouser_X> I guess.
(11:11:34) <Mouser_X> On the positive side, you like chiptunes, so you're okay.
(11:12:09) <Mouser_X> But, don't expect me to seriously consider your other musical suggestions...
(11:12:20) <Mouser_X> I might listen anyway though...
(11:12:31) <Mouser_X> I doubt there's anything that could be much worse than that.
(11:12:35) <anewuser> haha
(11:12:44) <anewuser> oh! you just wait
(11:12:59) <anewuser> tons of *bad* suggestions for your listening torture
(11:13:03) <anewuser> err
(11:13:06) <anewuser> *pleasure

- I've been trying to extract audio from DDR Mario Mix even if it says it's not possible to play them yet.. I suppose the music files are just compressed into .pdt and .msn
Possibly the .pdt one, since I bet the other one are sounds.
Any idea of what I can try to extract the music files that are inside that file?
Thanks

- MUSYX RIPS!

After much work and trial and error me (with assistance from hcs) got some musyx running in 64th Note.
it seems sufficient to put in AudioIntrReg|=4; in Rom.c just before StartEmulationFromSave and in the AiTimer case in Cpu.c
Gauntlet Legends
You can get an experemental prelim of gauntlet legends here
Until hcs makes a new build of 64th Note, you will have to run it with one i made
Oh, and sparse09 crashes about 10 seconds in. If you find it crash or freeze anywhre else lemme know.
Also, heres one from 007-The World is not enough

The tags are prelim, and should not be expected to be correct in all cases. That being said, I think they are good enough unless someone has some uber knowledge on the games composer(s) or in fact know japanese fluently to translate (or transliterate) the album titles better than I have done...
Anyway, here it is, HCS please verify. :)

- Why are my excellent request choices always being changed? I thought we lived in a democratic society, not some communist regime! The request choices should be for the people to decide. And it is actually a well know fact, that I am NOT a moron, nor should I be banned. From the requester, it can be seen that at least 5 other people agree with me, which is probably alot.
So please, think of the children, and correct these grave injustices!
