- Centre Court Tennis / Let's Smash N64 soundtrack, recorded outta project 64 (great music but sounds like ass):
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=IHVJSX2R
some sound glitches, lack of loops/fades (lazy) and there's two missing tracks as well (out of the 35 total - also lazy), but otherwise fully tagged. i also have some recordings of vigilante 8 + 2nd offense i could upload that were done the same way years ago, though i expect those are already available elsewhere these days.

- CyberSpark: I've bought the Okami OST, so if you want I can do another lossless rip of it. I followed the tutorial you posted, is that it, or do you want to check with me before I start? You can add me on MSN with k.hpptfot@gmail.com, with the letters before @gmail.com one letter back :P

- jelbo, it would be greatly appreciated if you could rip this for me, and thanks for checking with me before you did. Actually, I'm in the process of updating my tutorial, I'm even getting it reviewed by members of the EAC forums to make sure that all of the information given is correct and will result in a 1:1 of an audio CD, it should be completely finished very shortly.
Thanks dude. :)

- jelbo, did you just beat me to it on eBay? I find this timing highly suspect.

- CyberSpark: OK, I'll be watching this space. I did a rip of it already with the settings you posted, just in case they don't change :P I used the latest EAC with an IDE Optiarc AD-7173A and AccurateRip.
Here's my .log (cleaned) and .cue (uncleaned) files.
I had to re-rip several trakcs on the first 4 discs: CRC values didn't match or AccurateRip reported wrong CRC values. Discs 4 and 5 aren't in the AccurateRip database, so tracks from those discs can't be verified the AccurateRip way (also some very short tracks on the first discs couldn't be found in AR db). Because of that I have to trust the test and copy CRC values, which I don't fully.. can or should I trust them if they match? (edit: I found it I shouldn't, but I don't know how to be sure if a track is read correctly or not) I could try to read the discs on another PC with a different drive, am I correct in assuming the CRC values should be the same?
hcs: I bought it from YesAsia. This soundtrack (and game) is such a masterpiece and so well mastered compared to mainstream CD's, that I found it very much worth a purchase.

- Oh, cool, YesAsia is the cheapest I've seen for it and free shipping for such a purchase! I was struggling to get it for under $60 on eBay, just thought it was funny that I lost that auction shortly before you announced that you had it :)
- by jelbo at 2:20 AM EST on January 20, 2009
- Well, lucky you lost the auction then. I couldn't believe the YesAsia price either, and it's no bootleg.

- Very good jelbo, I'm glad my tutorial worked for you. :)
If the tracks ripped aren't present in the AccurateRip database then there's not really much you can do other then to trust the settings that you've made and the matching CRC values.
I'm not exactly sure which day you started to used my tutorial but the most recent time that I updated it was 3 days ago, I had added some information about Overread into Lead-in and Lead-out under the Exaction [tab], I'm not sure if you read that portion of the tutorial or not.
Truthfully though, this feature will not really effect the accuracy of your rip, hence the "Optional", since all that it does is recover some null samples and therefore it makes no difference.
From what I see based on the log files and CUE sheets that you had uploaded, everything looks to be good.
If you're interested in tagging your audio files as well as editing file names and information in the CUE sheet, you can use Mp3Tag to do this. This is not part of my request as I'm willing to add the tags myself, but if you're interested in doing this for your own rips I just thought that I'd suggest it.
Looking forward to this awesome OST. :D Thanks. Cya.

- I read and followed your tutorial on January 18.
I already tagged and renamed the .flac's with Tag&Rename according to the OST entry at VGMDB.net. I chose the English Game Titles instead of the English Literal Translation, but I might be crazy enough to write some batch files that work with a commandline tagger (tag.exe?) to switch between the two track naming options. I could even try Japanese if I'm really crazy. I also used the #gamemp3s tracknumber naming scheme (101 Trackname - 159 Trackname, 201 Trackname -2xx Trackname, etc.)
I also did a ReplayGain album scan on the full OST with foobar2000 and tagged those values.
So yeah, the trackname/tags still needs finishing, and the .cue's are still messed up with filenames and wrong title info. If you add me on MSN with the concealed address I posted we can work out the details to get the rip over to you so you may work on it as well. Maybe you're up for the trackname/tag batch thing as a way to return the favour. In the meantime I could do some nice scans of the artwork and stuff.

That should be good, I've only done some minor updates since then.

Um, maybe I'm misunderstanding something. What exactly will ReplayGain do to the audio data? It's my understanding that adding ReplayGain, if you're talking about what I think you're talking about, will alter the audio data, in which case the audio files will no longer be 1:1 copies of the original. The recommendation from most EAC gurus is to never use ReplayGain if you're looking to make 1:1 copies. If I'm misunderstanding what you mean, please explain.

Well other then the ReplayGain thing, which I may be misinterpreting, Everything in the info that you uploaded looks good. If you want to tag the files before uploading them then that's up to you, I usually don't even ask for this because it's extra work for the uploader and really I can do this myself.

That actually would be quite nice. :)
