- Mr. Nutz GBA music ripping by Akudaijin at 9:13 PM EDT on June 18, 2019
- Hello. I've been trying to rip music from a game developed by DreamOn Studio called Mr. Nutz, and the audio engine that they used is not a standard Sappy one.
I've tried importing the ROM raw in Audacity, that just gives me some sound effects, and perhaps some instruments it seems like, not a stream of songs except the intro logos.
I've also tried to record the music using the emulator, but the game doesn't support disabling sound effects so I can't record a perfect song without sound effects ruining it.
There's also a specific song that plays at the end of the game which then cuts short and so I can't even fully record it.
The only thing left is somewhat debugging/hacking the game but I have no clue where to start. Is there anything else I can try which would be a bit easier to understand? I don't even know what kind of audio driver it's using to begin with unfortunately.
- MIDI Patch Isolator? by (!!!!!) at 1:19 AM EDT on June 20, 2019
- Does anyone know of a program that can isolate notes that play on different patches in a single channel into separate channels or rather into their own midi files? e.g. channel 1 of a midi swaps between patch 1, patch 5, and patch 13 at different intervals with events that occur when the patches swap. Being able to isolate those 3 or so patches while keeping the midi automation that occurs during each patch change separated in their own channel or preferably into their own file.

- Mario + Rabbids music loops(Wwise) by CosmicDreams at 4:10 PM EDT on June 21, 2019
- So i've been looking into the music of Mario + Rabbids and quite a lot of the music has no loop data despite them looping in game.
I've been looking for months now and i recently found out that the .BNK files could contain events.
Was wondering if the events could maybe hold the loop information?

Here is the BNK file for Peaches Castle with its accompanying TXT file.

Line 3134 in this file has information on the BNK too.

- Identifying track names of Penny-Punching Princess by Trotminister at 10:16 AM EDT on June 24, 2019
- I'd like to add Penny-Punching Princess' soundtrack to my music library, but the Switch version's rip by bxaimc isn't labeled in any way. Could someone please take a look at PS4 version, see if those tracks have any sort of names?
I'm asking this because the same studio has made Princess Guide, also ripped and uploaded here. And while the Switch rip is nameless, PS4 rip has labels like BATTLE, TALK, etc. So I'm hoping it's the same with PPP.

- Help identifying/converting Rise of the Dragon SEGA CD music format (non CD audio) by spikey699 at 3:44 AM EDT on June 25, 2019
- Hey folks,
Hope everyone's doing well :)
I have an obscure request, and this seems like a good forum for it.
The western game "Rise of the Dragon" on SEGA CD uses CD audio for a few tracks, but mostly BIN files as small, roughly MIDI sized music files for 95% of the game's music. The original DOS game used MIDI for music.
The game itself for the BGM sounds like it is playing some tracker format (whether MIDI or a converted form), and PCM samples are clearly used in playback, for example:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QwoXu_8QQ_c&list=PLfd3SY7ln9aCZY40OXHjqMtb14OkBuXG1&index=11&t=0s
PCM drums ahoy!
Anyway, any help in converting this file format would be greatly appreciated.
A sample BIN file can be found here:

- Possible to convert sound test in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate to MP3/WAV form? by Rew at 5:47 PM EDT on June 30, 2019
- Hi folks! I know there are plenty of game rips of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate out there (including at least one on this forum), but those tend to be 2 loops per track. I want something that's as close as possible to listening to the actual Ultimate sound test on my computer or my smartphone (without having to take my Switch everywhere, haha).
What I'm looking for is a rip of the sound test in Ultimate with the same ordering and exact same track length, fade-out, etc. Is that... possible? To rip it in such a way, that is?
Currently what I'm doing is taking a rip I found of all Smash Bros. music (it's one that was posted to Reddit, that's high-quality, remastered and all that). I've weeded out the tracks not in the Ultimate sound test, then put all 876 remaining in order. And now it's a grueling slog going into Audacity on each and every track to cut each one down to the exact length (I have to estimate to the nearest quarter of a second) and use the envelope feature to get the fade-outs just right. And that doesn't cover the handful of tracks where the game rip version is shorter than the sound test version!
Is there an easier way? Is it possible to rip these tracks in their sound test form with the lengths and fade-outs as they are in the sound test? Are there any alternative methods I haven't considered yet?

- M&M's Adventure game files for WII (mostly the music files). by Jack Krowell at 5:19 PM EDT on July 5, 2019
- To the one's who both own this forum site, and post the necessary .7z files for games, I kindly ask, is there any chance you could add a download for the WII version of M&M's adventure?
I know you already have a download for said game (for NDS), but I only request this because the WII version of M&M's Adventure has soundtrack I'm interested in hearing, so it's likely that a download of that version would have "ex-tractable" files for the games soundtrack.
- How to unpack the BBSX.DAT files? by a574045075 at 10:46 PM EDT on July 5, 2019
- Does anyone know how to unpack Kingdom Hearts:Birth by Sleep Final Mix BBSX.DAT files ?
- Manhunt 2 soundtrack event cues (such as idle, suspicious, spotted, combat, and scene failed/complete). by Jack Krowell at 5:15 PM EDT on July 6, 2019
- For the music files of the Manhunt 2.7z files, do any of them contain event cues of the OST (you know like, idle, suspicious, spotted, combat, and scene failed/complete)?
If so, then is there any way I could extract those event cues into separate audio files?
So far, the only trace I could find of those music event cues for the different Manhunt 2 scenes are encrypted in their own files, all merged/mixed and rendered together.
