Gran Turismo SEQ to MIDI converter by xan1242 at 12:22 AM EDT on September 5, 2019
Hi all,

I'm working on a tool to convert GT's seq files (SEQG magic) to MIDI. I've made little progress on the tool but as soon as it's ready I'll post the source on GitHub.

Right now I've only been able to convert the first track of spu_09.seq (from GT2)

Download test midi

(midi was reexported thru cakewalk to optimize it for now)

I'm still deciphering the commands/events of this format so it's far from finished.

Another note I'd like to add: on some other midis, like in the track "From the east" (aka east city) the drums are perfectly mapped to the Sound Canvas.

Is there anyway we can make a parser for this so that it can produce proper names for the sound files?

Here's an example: https://www.zenhax.com/download/file.php?id=7275
Twilight Princess SFX and Music Rip? by Uikri at 5:50 AM EDT on September 7, 2019
I see that there's a very old thread where apparently "perfect" quality music was ripped from Twilight Princess on the GameCube. I also read that apparently the SFX use the same format as the music. Given this, is a sound effect rip for the possible/available, and would voice clips from the characters of the game be counted as SFX? If not, I'm wondering if it's possible to rip the voice clips from the game? hcs, you seem quite knowledgeable on the subject; could you advise me on this matter. I'm more interested in the SFX right now than the music, but I won't lie that a lossless or midi+soundfont OST for Twilight Princess is enticing.

P.S. On the subject of GameCube OSTs, have Pikmin 1 and/or 2 been successfully ripped/converted?

Wii U Menu theme .BFSEQ? by Mr.Sanic at 1:42 PM EDT on September 11, 2019
i downloaded the Wii U Menu BIOS and found most of the sounds from the apps, but i couldn't find the Menu theme.

there is a youtube video where a guy extracted the .BFSEQ from the Menu theme and remixed the gamecube theme.

in the folder 10057000 there is two .Z files (sound.z and splash.z) and i think it can may be it. but neither WinRar or WinZip opens them. what should i do?
Pac-Man Fever BOLT .adp by hcs at 1:08 AM EDT on September 13, 2019
I took a look at Pac-Man Fever for GC (fairly easy to find online), the .adp files start with a header with magic BOLT. There's also a bunch of short THP videos, mostly 10 seconds.

I think MarkGrass dealt with BOLT in Namco Museum here and here, it seems to be a general bigfile, not just audio. But the links to the extractor are down.

Here's the .adp files if anyone wants to take a look.
Microsoft Xbox DVD Filesystem - as a quickBMS script by AnonRunzes at 8:16 AM EDT on September 14, 2019
here:
microsoft_xbox.bms

this was designed for Redump-made Xbox releases, which is as of now currently somewhat easy to find. as of right now though this can only extract "file entries" from the main directory(as in, the directory that this default.xbe file is in). the "directory entries" themselves though is in need of some serious help from an experienced quickBMS coder(yes even i need help that badly), as the directory parsing gets fine on the USA version of Fusion Frenzy but not on Halo Combat Evolved(there's a version of the game that contains various demos, and one of those demos seem to use as many folders as it can)...

Ghost Recon 2001 7z download. by Jack Krowell at 1:30 AM EDT on September 15, 2019
Yes I was wondering, could you please provide an available 7z download for the soundtrack files for Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon 2001 at the joshw website?

I'm wanting the ambient soundtrack music heard during game play when traversing the map.

Excuse me HCS but I was wondering, could you by any chance provide a 7z download for the soundtrack files of Manhunt 2 BETA game to the joshw website?

Most notably the original beta theme for the main menu screen for Manhunt 2 Beta.
