Paper Mario: Sticker Star - Missing Track? by Tanookirby at 4:35 PM EST on February 17, 2021
I've been trying to rename the vgm files for Paper Mario: Sticker Star, and in the process, I noticed the track called "Don't Call Me Flunky" is not in the set. Was this a mistake, or is it in a currently unreadable format? Are there any more missing tracks as well?
Ripping sounds/voices and music from Capcom 3DS games by JacintaB19 at 2:53 AM EST on February 18, 2021
Are there any tools/emulators to rip the music, sounds and voices from Capcom's games on the 3DS (such as Super Street Fighter IV: 3D Edition)?
noob question: how to turn the volume up on layered bfstms using txtp? by porocopi16 at 4:16 AM EST on February 22, 2021
So I'm looking at how to make txtps and one thing has me spaghetti'd in how to actually use it.

Specifically for splatoon on the wii u, the bfstms when played from that game make the dynamic channels on layered bfstms much softer for some reason. i'd like to just turn them to the same volume that the main channel is playing at, but i'm unsure the command to make it work.

here're a few from that game that have an example of what i'm talking about

STRM_Boss_Last01
STRM_Mission04
STRM_Mission05

it isn't just splatoon but the wording on the txtp format is so confusing i don't know how to make it perform the simple task of keeping the loop and everything the same but bumping up the volume of a few channels in the back (while maybe blocking some in the case of the first song)
can't upload any files by etrain_quandt17 at 8:57 AM EST on February 22, 2021
I went to go upload some music I ripped the other day and I saw that I had a 0gb upload limit. Looking at the directory listing it seems that other people don't seem to have the problem, what's going on?
Searching for a Paper Mario The Origami King track by Tanookirby at 10:48 PM EST on February 26, 2021
I seem to be having trouble finding the tune in the gamedump that plays when the Earth Vellumental shrine opens. Can anyone identify it?
how can i open .blob files? by civilizedproducer at 3:31 AM EST on March 4, 2021
i am trying to open a .blob file of a music production plugin. i'm sure that it is some sort of an archive/container as when i opened it using a text editor, it showed some paths to .wav files inside the .blob file. the only issue is that i don't know what type of an archive it is so as to open it using some program. i used a hex editor to find the format of the archive but still no luck..

Hex :
00000000 67 45 B1 62 EC 00 00 00 7B 22 69 6E 73 74 72 75 gE±bì...{"instru

edit: i also used QuickBMS to try extracting it, but i couldn't :(

if anyone could help, i'll be really grateful to you!

thanks in advance!

local nerd desperate to get sound effects from Saturn game by CJofCourse at 6:07 PM EST on March 4, 2021
hello there, I have managed to find my way here after hours of internet digging, this is my last hope.

TLDR: read the below TLDR or the bottom paragraph, the rest is...a sob story I guess? idk. point is the middle is pretty pointless.

TLDR: If anyone has a file/folder with all the SSF files from BUG! for the SEGA Saturn (not just music), I will be eternally grateful. If not, could someone at least point me towards or create a tutorial on how one would go about ripping all these noises?

It all started in the early 2000s, when I was a wee lad. I was gifted a copy of BUG! to play on my dad's Sega Saturn. It rapidly became my favorite game, and in many ways, still is.

Now, in the present day, I could put it behind me, but no. You see I've gotten into video editing and streaming, and one time, I thought about using a sound effect or two from BUG!. I put the thought behind me and moved on. But the thought grew while I wasn't looking, it fed on my subconscious, and now, years later, it overpowered me and compelled me to search for the sound effects. Now that I have begun my journey, I cannot stop, my mind is a train without brakes and I can only hope to arrive at my destination before I derail.

I began searching for a way to rip sounds from a Sega Saturn ROM and quickly realized I was a fish out of water. Downloading AudioOverloader was simple enough, reading about SSF files and what-not is fascinating, but all I know about Python code is "hello world". Using these scripts would require learning, time, and effort!

But then, just when I was about to give up or give in to the process, I came across a beacon of hope, the holy grail: http://ssf.joshw.info/

I quickly checked under "b/" and there it was! My precious! I downloaded and extracted it and started listening. Ahhhh those sweet, sweet, awful sounding tunes. It was perfect. Until, the more I kept listening, the sooner I realized it was just the music, there were no sound effects or voice lines.

I checked the note included in the .zip and saw how much hell the archiver went through to narrow it down. I don't want to go through that lol. I ran a quick google search for joshw and SSF, hoping to find a way to contact him and see if he backed up those 2000 tracks. It led me here, to a whole community!

If any of you have the SSF files, or the skill to extract them, I beg you to send them to me. (or if you happen to be "joshw" and didn't truly delete the files you "nuked") I have the passion and spare time to sort through them all looking for what I want. Thank you for reading, and potentially helping :)

Getting sound effects from Pokemon Battle Revolution (Wii) by JacintaB19 at 3:44 PM EST on March 12, 2021
Are there any tools to rip the sounds from Pokemon Battle Revolution? What i'm looking for are the sound effects, not the music.
How to extract MIDI files from Dreamcast games? by fedex1 at 5:54 AM EDT on March 19, 2021
In particular I would like to extract midi from these two games:

- Nobunaga no Yabou: Reppuuden
- Nobunaga no Yabou: Shouseiroku with Power-Up Kit

First of all, I tried downloading the .dsf files from the zophar domain (which are the music files) but I can't convert them to midi with any of the available software.

Then I tried downloading the full ROM and extract the content from the .bin and I can find a "SOUND" folder, but inside the music tracks are .NB8 extension (for the "Reppuuden" ROM) and .MLT (for the "Shouseiroku" ROM).

How to extract midi from .NB8 and .MLT extension, if possible?

Thanks
