Final Fantasy Tactics Midi Problem? by fedex1 at 11:20 AM EDT on September 16, 2021
So, I would like to get midi files from Final Fantasy Tactics, but the point is that I can get them using vgmtrans (and getting them from zophar.net).
I can extract the .midi and .dls files but they are really weird midis, because in every "sound bank" there are multiple instruments and the bank changes at every notes on the piano roll, plus sometimes the instruments doesn't play the exact instrument.
Now I actually had the patience to make some of the tracks, but really is there another way to actually have normal midi like other ps1 and ps2 midis?
Thank you
3D Movie Maker File Extraction Help by MoldyPond at 3:40 AM EDT on September 19, 2021
I was looking for the MIDI files for 3D Movie Maker and noticed that they haven't been uploaded here yet. I have the original disc and tried looking for them on it myself and it looks like they are compressed in either a .3CN, .3TH or .CHK format, which I have no idea how to extract at all. I've tried looking elsewhere for answers but no luck yet. I've got a download for the potential file archives they might be in here.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
Pac-Man World 1 - mass-converting/playing ADPCM files by Mario123311 at 6:18 PM EDT on September 22, 2021
Recently a friend of mine just datamined and dumped pretty much the entirety of this game, as all it's resources were embeded into the executable itself. Sadly, I'm having trouble getting the sounds converted at a quicker pace, Foobar2000 won't read them with the vgmstream plugin, PSound works but takes forever, and I have to manually change the samplerate each time.

There's a manifest .txt file in each folder that has the exact sample rate each specific sound is to be played at, so I'm just wondering if there's a way I could get a better batch conversion for this.

Include or filter out sfx? by braun at 2:19 AM EDT on September 28, 2021
When i upload a vgm archive, should i include the entire soundbank, or should i filter only music tracks? what about folders for different types or prefixes? (e.g. in-game audio logs)
Legend of Mana: can't extract DLS/SF2 with VGMTrans (AKAO) by fedex1 at 9:52 AM EDT on October 6, 2021
I would like to extract DLS or SF2 for Legend of Mana PS1 game, it is a square AKAO sequence like Final Fantasy IX and others.

Is it possible to do it? Didn't work with VGMTrans

"Wild Riders" Song ripping (NAOMI2) by Coughdrop at 7:04 PM EDT on October 8, 2021
Hello!

I'm trying to get the 2 main songs ripped from Wild Riders. the game only ever came out on NAOMI2 and the soundtrack has never been ripped or put out officially.

i've seen a post made by JacintaB19 about ripping Sound effects from the Naomi version of Rhythm Tengoku, which did share some insight, however i'm seeing a lot of variation in the files for Wild Riders, the whole thing is basically only IC(XX) files. Any help would be appreciated, i'm really new to audio ripping but i'd love to learn.

The files can be found here for reference: Link

Thanks!
vgmstream: .txtp bit depth by MusicMantis at 3:16 PM EDT on October 10, 2021
Hi. I've got a series of layered audio files that are each 96000hz, 24-bit. When I load them up using vgmstream (I use foobar2000, but also tested using test.exe) it layers them as 96000hz, 16-bit. I'd like to preserve the source bit depth.

Looking a little bit closer, when loading up a single 24-bit audio file via .txtp (no additional commands, just "path\to\file.flac") it still outputs 16-bit despite no additional processing taking place.

Is this a limitation of vgmstream? Is is possible to preserve the full bit depth of the source files using it?
ExciteBike 64 ripping by braun at 1:34 PM EDT on October 11, 2021
i'm curious about why N64 Midi Tool, Soundbank Tool, and Sound List Tool don't support ExciteBike 64. if it's too non-standard to figure out, then I'll understand
