- Interesting... The newly finished Donkey Kong 64 set has the Harvest Moon 64 info file, and it says that Wedge tagged HM64. Is this a sign of things to come?
- by Synthesis at 9:02 PM EDT on July 30, 2006
- Yeah, I just noticed that as well.

- Oops, sorry. My bad.
Fixed.

- Ok. You had me very curious there. By the way, thanks for the info marioman, I really was only expecting maybe 10-15 tracks maximum out of that HM64 rip.
If there the same tracks playing with just differnt instruments used for differnt parts of the song, would that make it an unused track? I'm just saying because I've logged a lot of time on that game and I haven't ever heard some of the stuff in that rip.
P.S. Josh W's next USF rip should STILL be Star Wars: Rogue Squadron.

- Sorry for the delay. To answer your question about the instrument tracks, do not exclude them from the set. They are still music.
I did a little research and I think that I may have figured out some things that may help you out. Please keep in mind that I know practically nothing about this game and my info may not be 100% accurate. (You will have to verify.)
- There are 8 instrument tracks and 8 ambience tracks. This leaves 26 actual music tracks. (18 unidentified.)
- In the instrument tracks I would imagine that 17 and 18 are releated to the music box, and 19-1F are related to the musicians at some of the festivals.
- 20-28 are ambience tracks. They shouldn't be hard to identify.
I would recommend that you play through the game and pay attention to the music that is played in buildings and during special events. Those are the ones that most likely to be overlooked. Also, keep an ear out for duplicate tracks that may exist in the USF set. Just make sure that the track is truly a duplicate before you delete it.
I hope that this helps.

- Yay! Rush 2 has been ripped. Did it use Musyx? Josh, if you are able to rip it, I will tag/time Rush 2049.
- by Josh W at 2:17 AM EDT on August 11, 2006
- no, it doesnt use Musyx, it uses the stock N64 music driver.

- Ok, this has things related to several other threads, but since replying to all those is stup, im gunna do it here.
I got tags for Banjo Tooie who i believe is from ner'zhul, but he didnt include (or have) the split versions of the dynamic tracks (which is here), so i will have to add these, then extract the tags, then rerip the set.
I have been severly hacking the hell out of the batchripper using the stuff that got Musyx sets working, and i have been able to get them to rip without any delay - thats right none. Turok 2 seems to be able to be ripped now, only a few problems to work out (it crashes some time into it) and that'll be done - hopefully soon. Turok Rage wars might also advantage from this also, im not sure.
Rush 2049, im not sure. I havn't really spent a lot of time on this lately, and there is a problem that prevents me from using my quick and dirty ripping methods. So ill probally spend a bit more time on this one later.
I dont think any other (semi)broken sets will benefit from this other than musyx ones, but i will check later as well.
What i really want is to get Banjo Tooie and Conker's Bad fur day to work without any starting delay...but i doubt that'll happen.
But for now i got much backlogged assignments.

Indeed!
Those tracks didn't seem to be working on 64th note, and i didn't really know what they were, so I ignored them. I put the library file in the same directory and even updated to the new beta version of 64th. Oh well.
