- (From myspace)
Alright. I got attacked by a girl again. This time I was actually lucky as this was over the phone. I had to talk for 30 minutes to get myself out of this. I ultimately decided that since I was near a computer that now was the time to bring out my monstrosity of a weapon - a song called Live Svajklubb. After seven minutes I threatened her again, this time I would play the song in its entirety, and sure enough, she hung up.
(Lucky me)

- I'm fiddling around with the xcode development kit on Mist under VMWare. Here's what I've done so far:
Hello, world
- by unknownfile at 11:17 AM EDT on October 9, 2006
- Did some stuff on Star Fox 64 last night. I finally found the text pointer, and as a result, I found some unused text:
//((DWORD*)N64MEM)[0x17DAA8/4]=0x800D8CB8; // Pepper: "Congratulations, Star Fox!" (unused)
//((DWORD*)N64MEM)[0x17DAA8/4]=0x800D8CE8; // Unused text - Pepper inviting Fox
//((DWORD*)N64MEM)[0x17DAA8/4]=0x800D8D18; // Unused text - Fox's refusal to Pepper's offer in the ending
//((DWORD*)N64MEM)[0x17DAA8/4]=0x800D8D48; // Naus: "Preparations for departure complete."
//((DWORD*)N64MEM)[0x17DAA8/4]=0x800D8D70; // Fox: "We'll be off now." (text is unused)
All of this text is *spoken* in the ending, but a majority of it isn't displayed.

- More Star Fox 64 stuff:
I have been cracking away at the text table, and apparently there aren't enough Roman characters to complete a sentence (capitalized or not), so this most likely calls for intensive graphics hacking.
The text is written in 16-bit unflopped blocks. There are more than 700 characters in all. I have found two control codes, and here they are:
0x0009 - Start of string. Text will not be typed without this.
0x0001 - Equal to \n.
A text table would be too much work considering all of the characters the game uses. It's almost as if the graphics programmer just said, "Eh, let's just stick all of these in."
And I have yet to fulfil hcs's request of changing "Fox" to "Fuckface".

- IT is getting there step by step. I now have a player with volume control and Pause/resume by default though I start paused since playing the song gives a "divide by 0" error somewhere.
It says it's loading the file properly... Well I'll do more checks and such when I have more time, now - sleep :)
