- Hmm, well, today is another one of those days where I'm going to have a to make a decision. lol. You see, I have been requesting this album from quite a few people over a long period of time. Earlier today, one of those persons had read my request and said that they would make an EAC lossless rip, and now, within the same day, you too are willing to make a rip of this album. :P
The only difference I can think of is the drive that's going to be used to make the rip and determining which one, yours or this other person's, will retrieve the most information from the disc. Hmm, decisions decisions....
If you still want to setup the program and make your own lossless rip, I'd be more then happy to show you how to do that. You can find the info for setting up the program, along will all of the download links, here: EAC guide
By the way, I'm sorry that I wasn't more specific in my requests for EAC lossless. I see that you edited one of your posts with a download link for the MP3s. Sorry.

- Cyber, I'm quite sure the upload limit on megaupload was increase to 1GB, so it'd be hard to not fit it :p
- by CyberSpark at 2:40 AM EDT on June 19, 2009
- Ah, maybe. :) Well, I haven't had the need to upload anything over 500MBs in awhile and the last time that I used it, 500MBs was the limit. Well, that's good to hear.
You know something, MU used to delete links to VGM pretty fast before the upgrade, but now it's different. I've seen links that are still up from months ago. I hope that it continues like this. :)

- Huh, interesting, I wonder which one is best. I will look into this and see if I can find a little info about each of the drives, there actually is a list posted for most accurate drives. I will do this tomorrow though, it's late here. :) Okay, cya.

- CyberSpark, whatever is the outcome of this, whether you ask gamerjet or your friend to do the EAC (FLAC) lossless rip - when someone has the FLACs or otherwise of the Sonic Adventure 2 (Battle) Soundtrack please may you post a link with them? =)
I have too been wanting this for ages! =)

- I'd wager that
"Samsung 48X CD-R/RW SW-252S (Internal)"
would be the best drive for ripping, as laptop/external drives in my experience have lower build quality. But I might be wrong.
Also, as spellmaker said, please share the link when it gets ripped.

- Hi all.
CyberSpark, whatever is the outcome of this, whether you ask gamerjet or your friend to do the EAC (FLAC) lossless rip - when someone has the FLACs or otherwise of the Sonic Adventure 2 (Battle) Soundtrack please may you post a link with them? =)
Sure, no problem. If gamerjet makes the rip then (s)he'll mostly post it here anyway, otherwise, if this other person rips the CDs for me, I will re-upload as I do not like to post links if they weren't publicly posted by the user.
I'd wager that
"Samsung 48X CD-R/RW SW-252S (Internal)"
would be the best drive for ripping, as laptop/external drives in my experience have lower build quality. But I might be wrong.
Maybe maybe. Hey gamerjet, there's one thing that I would like you to test with this drive, if you're willing. I want to see if your Samsung 48X CD-R/RW SW-252S (Internal) is capable of retrieving the ISRC codes from the disc and store them in the CUE sheet. Here's how to test for it:
Open the Exact Audio Copy program and, in the Menu bar, navigate to: EAC -> EAC Options -> Tools [tab].
"(1) Enable "Retrieve UPC/ISRC codes in CUE sheet generation" and press the OK button which will bring you to the main window.
(2) Insert a factory-labeled audio CD into the drive and navigate to: Action -> Create CUE Sheet -> Multiple WAV Files With Gaps (Noncompliant) and save it to the desktop.
(3) Right-click on the CUE sheet and 'open with' Notepad.
(4) The ISRC codes should contain a mix of letters and numbers, if there are symbols of any kind (example: @ or &) then your drive most likely does not support this feature and it should be left disabled. Sometimes the ISRC codes will generate only 0s, and in this case you should test with a different CD."
Tell me if this works. :) Thanks.

- Thanks CyberSpark. =)
Also why do you want ISRC codes?
What are they used for?
- by CyberSpark at 9:03 PM EDT on June 19, 2009
- Not much. :) If anything, they may be able to tell you the origin of the disc. Knowing that that this is an official copy of the disc from Japan, the ISRC codes should begin with "JPN" followed by some numbers. The main reason why this feature is recommend is simply because it's part of the original disc, therefore, it should be extracted if possible.
