I believe Injustice: Gods Among Us and Dark Souls II use FSB5.

Yup, those too.

I have the music files from the game New York Race for PS2 (perfectly playable with vgmstream) and would like to submit them to the joshw archive. Where should I upload/post them?

Also, I noticed that the CD-Audio streams from the PSX games are ripped in MP3. Any chance they could be replaced by EAC lossless rips?

Where should I upload/post them?

Wherever you want, just post a download link here.

Any chance they could be replaced by EAC lossless rips?

No plans to do so, server space is finite and I don't have the source material anymore for most of the games either way.

I thought I had mentioned this at some point, but I probably didn't....

Final Fantasy Tactics Advance just got added to PMH, but it's missing two tracks (understandable, since they seem to have been widely overlooked). Two of the tracks which aren't on the OST (90 and 91 in the GSF set) are different in the original Japanese version. Just lettin' ya know.

Amended, thanks for the note.

Some new assorted tags for PMH I've had lying around for a while... (or in some cases just did :P)

RPG Tsukuru GB (GBC)(2000-03-17)(Kuusou Kagaku)(ASCII)
Medarot 5 - Susutake Mura no Tenkousei Kabuto Version (GBC)(2001-12-14)(Natsume)(Imagineer)
Samsara Naga 1x2 (GBA)(2001-12-14)(Groove Box Japan)(Victor)
Dragon Quest Characters - Torneko no Daibouken 2 Advance - Fushigi no Dungeon (2001-12-20)(Chunsoft)(Enix
Di Gi Charat - DigiCommunication (GBA)(2002-10-25)(M2)(Broccoli)
Pokemon Mystery Dungeon - Blue Rescue Team [Pokemon Fushigi no Dungeon - Ao no Kyuujotai] (2005-11-17)(Chunsoft)(Nintendo)

Some really nice songs in this bunch, some standouts being VS Hardness Ten, Sky Tower, Absent-Mindedness, Toro Ruins...

two more things to bug ya about, Knurek.

First, I should've been clearer, but I can tell you which is which with those two Japanese FFTA tracks. Unknown 3 is the original track for "Data Screen" (you can hear it for a split-second here), while Unknown 2 is the original track for "The World is Changing". I verified these myself (shoulda mentioned as much).

(oh geez, how did I miss that, after the first 15 seconds, "Main Theme" and Unknown 1 are basically the same song? And that both would match almost perfectly with the scene where "The World is Changing" plays, which itself mirrors the first half of the opening where "Main Theme" is used? Unknown 1 must either be an early version of Main Theme or a discarded attempt at "The World is Changing"...)

Secondly, I did a search for "Neverland" on joshw.info (looking for the Saturn version of Chaos Seed and anything else of interest), and I noticed something that I'm pretty sure I noticed before and will be doomed to forever notice again if I don't tell somebody at some point.

A good half-dozen or so sets for games published by Idea Factory have "(Neverland)" listed in the filename as if our dear defunct friends had been involved, but I'm pretty sure this is a case of an understandable mix-up. "Never Land" is actually the name of a vaguely-defined set of Idea Factory titles - I'm still not sure whether it's a franchise or a universe or what, but as far as I know, none of them involved the company Neverland Co.

I suppose it's not impossible that Neverland did some grunt work on Never Land-related games and is only credited by the few sites who know this, I could be totally wrong, but I think it's more likely that there is no connection at all between them. This kind of confusion is likely the result of Idea Factory's notoriously corrupting influence.

---------

banshiryuu - ooh, neat set of tags there.

Most JRPG ports on the GBA aren't particularly interesting in terms of music conversion (it's generally mostly adequate or quite inadequate, with the notable exception of FF1&2). But Samsara Naga 1x2 and Torneko are a bit different than failing to reproduce SNES clarity (or Genesis force). The former is interesting as a case of trying to find a balance between the original NES and SNES sounds, while with Torneko, you have a conversion where the original PS1 music was not just streamed but orchestrated. It must've been a challenge to make the dozen or so variations of the dungeon theme sound distinct from each other.

As you noted, "Toro Ruins" stands out, as it does in the original game. I have to admit, while I say they are interesting examples, both releases still mostly pale in comparison to the games they were based on, and also it is 3 in the morning and I've been writing this post out of order and to be honest I'm not even sure what I'm talking about so I'm posting it while it still seems legible.

Samsara Naga has a click/pop at the start of every track with foo_input_gsf. I wonder what causes that.

Medabot 5 has that nice Natsume GBC sound, but I''m trying to figure out how Battle 2 works. It's gotta be for special event battles, right? Maybe the developers had a different idea about proper battle theme labeling than I do.

@Dais: I know about the Neverland credit being wrong, I will fix the sets once they go up on pmh.
