- The Tinkle sound is definitely PM2. It also sounds like the menu music instrument in Grabbed by the Ghoulies. But I could be wrong.

- Yeah it the same sound that was used in goldeneye

- Here's a tough one: Where did Gravis sample their instruments for use in their Ultrasound card?
I hear some Roland here and there (Synth Brass 1 and Fretless Bass just to name a couple), but everything else in it's general soundfont is largely a mystery to me. And there are some GREAT sounds in that card! (Overdrive/Distorted Guitar and Honky-Tonk are a couple of patches I'd LOVE to hear in their non-compressed form}
I've done some light research into the Gravis Ultrasound and have learned that it uses a GF1 which uses technology derived from the Ensoniq ES-5506 OTTO, used in the Ensoniq VFX synthesizer.
Have the go-to MIDI to show off Gravis' sampled instruments.
Striving for Glory - Theme of Windows 3.1
I may just be asking a question that might never get answered here, but if anything I hope I've at least brought up attention to a nice sample-based card during a time when Adlib was the bees knees.

- The soprano singer for Eclipse of the Sun from Hyrule Warriors is the same as the one used for the Merchant in Crypt of the Necrodancer.

- The samples in DRUM SET 1 found in the Yamaha TX16W can be heard clearly in Parodius DA! (On systems that support PCM samples.)

- Anyone know where some of these Donkey Kong Country sounds come from?
Electric guitar: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4lLrYd4vYfg
Big drums: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kfe4e8Gd9oM
the choir and lead instrument at 50 seconds: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kA5Wc1_Zghk
Dave Wise said in an interview that he used a Juno-2 synth for the synth sounds in DKC2, and it's been found that the harp and pan flute are from the Korg M1.
edit: also, anyone have insight on this synth lead at the beginning of Enchanted Wood (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wYyMNXM8Kgg), whether it's a preset of the Juno-2 or something Dave Wise programmed himself?

- @dogman91x I'm positive that the choir in your third link also comes from a M1. It's titled CelestialPad. The drums probably come from a M1 as well, but that's just speculation.

- Thanks for the response. I just looked into Celestial Pad on the Korg M1 VST from the Legacy Collection, and it seems more what waveform was used for the oscillator rather than the patch itself. In this case, 'Voice' seems to match better than 'Choir' on there.
edit: the Alto Sax waveform in the M1 also might be the sax in Stickerbrush Symphony https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W8zIaaU5i_Q ; sounds a lot alike. I wonder if the same is true for some of the other reed instruments in DKC2, like the low harmonica/muted trumpet.

- Its killing me to find out what was used for the music in the NDS game Magical Starsign, it has such a fantastic soundtrack especially this song. Hopefully someone can deduce, thanks.
