- Interestingly, if you're referring to the one labeled as (PAL), then I would assume that the one that bxaimc is talking about (in the above post) is the US version. While I would agree that they are in fact duplicates (same data, different regions), it should be noted that the Japanese version contains 2 files (most likely 4, but I don't remember) that the PAL version (and therefore, the US version, which bxaimc is referencing) does not have. Personally, I consider these files inconsequential. From what I can tell, the PAL version combined some files, reducing the file count, but leaving the actual content the same (that is, if you took the Japanese files, and appended them onto each other, you'd have the same thing as the PAL version).
Admittedly, I haven't actually tested this. But the file names (and sizes) are such that I'd be surprised if I was mistaken. Really, I should get some sort of FTP stuff going, and upload stuff. I have a number of contributions to make, and I haven't bothered (partially to having poor upload control, but mostly because people complain about our VoIP going crappy when I upload stuffs). It doesn't help that I'm terrible at finalizing stuff (aka, torrentZIP, torrent7zip, renames, removing unwanted files, etc.). Bah. Mouser X over and out.

I've put up each original bigass XA file from the disc (just the remixed contents), since I wasn't able to properly split the tracks into indivdual files with VGMtoolbox. For some reason, the XA extractor won't do more than 8 files.
PSound on the other hand doesn't have any issue to scan them correctly.

I've updated VGMToolbox to handle these kinds of files now. Use the new "Two-Pass" option to properly extract the tracks. Check this page for details.
For any interested, the problem is that the files used the same block ID for multiple tracks of music. In the past this was handled by splitting when a silent block was encountered. Since there were not silent blocks here, VGMT will now try to establish a reasonable maximum value for the distance between succeeding blocks and split tracks when that distance is exceeded.

If there's demand, I'll also do the crap from Rockman 1-2 and the rest of the XA Famicom files. But they're not really worth it, waste of storage if you ask me.

These audio files seem to be much more smooth (no pops, etc) than the Anniversary Collection's.

- Cool stuff. Does this exist on an OST? Scratchy XA is scratchy.
