Thanks very much good sir.
Yay! Galaxy 2!

- Here's my Super Mario Galaxy 2 music rip. Ripped directly from the streams, converted to wav using the standard two loops + fadeout method, normalized then finally encoded to LAME MP3 VBR V0. I took the titles and general track order from the YouTube videos.
There were almost 40 streams on the disc that were from the first game so I didn't include those in my rip. This is two full discs of music even without the SMG1 tracks, crazy! Throwback Galaxy is <3

- erm...isn't that what what VGSB did? X_o

- Hm, 40 streams? I only count 14 .asts that were named "SMG" instead of "SMG2", did I miss any?
- by bxaimc at 10:54 PM EDT on May 22, 2010
- No, some from the first game were named SMG2.
- by the_miker at 11:06 PM EDT on May 22, 2010
- Yeah I count 29 tracks that were recycled from SMG1 and only about half of those had the "SMG" filenames.
Also on an unrelated note, I'd like to request the House of the Dead: Overkill rip to be thrown on the tracker. Thanks guys!

- I also got 29 duplicates from Galaxy 1 when using filesize to help better identify them. I listened to them as well to make sure they didn't have any discernable differences. Maybe somebody would like to use Exact Audio Copy wave comparison to be sure there aren't any small tweaks? It's weird how they would rename some to SMG2.
I'm experimenting with a Wikipedia sort of volunteer system for progressively fine tuning the tags to be the best they can be. If you do offer a lot of help I'd be fine with you applying whatever tags in the spreadsheet to your own style of rip. See if you're interested.
