- And bringing this thread back on topic. Has anyone looked into ripping a Sonic Shuffle DSF set? That one would be GREATLY appreciated.
- by mamaluigi at 6:56 PM EDT on March 10, 2008
- do you ever do anything but post requests and say thanks over and over? why not actually make yourself useful and tag some sets or something.
- by nensondubois at 7:20 PM EDT on March 10, 2008
- mamaluigi has a point.

- I disagree. Mostly because, based on the join date of mamluigi, he is not familiar with marioman. Marioman has been on here quite a bit longer, and has been a great asset to the forums. However, as of late, there hasn't been anything "major" going on for marioman to contribute. He does provide very useful information when such information is available though. Specifically, updates of various plugins. He also occasionally provides information on new sets ripped (whether they be NSF, DSF, SPC, or whatever). I think mamaluigi is reading far too much into marioman's post. Instead of seeing "Hey! Where's my music!?" (as that seems to be what he's reading), I see it more as "Since DSF ripping is now possible, has anyone looked at Sonic Shuffle? It's a great game that could have good music. If there's a difficulty in ripping it, could you please tell us what that difficulty is?"
In other words, I really really really doubt marioman is such a bad guy here. Mamaluigi doesn't have a point, and isn't paying attention to the posts on the forum here, if he thinks that's all marioman is doing. The same can be said for nensondubois, based on his agreeing with mamaluigi.
While I will whole-heartedly say that a post count could mean nothing, please check the post count of marioman. I can *garantee* that he didn't get that post count by asking for rips all the time. IMO, he's earned those numbers fair and square (and beat out me even!). And in regards to post counts, please keep in mind that the next closest person to marioman (after me) is JoshW at 300 somthing. Please rethink your "point" here. Mouser X over and out.

- Even better point.

- @Mouser: Add that to the fact that I wanted a very, very abrupt subject change and it all makes sense. Thanks for backing me up.
@mamaluigi: I don't have as much free time as I did when I first joined the forums. I still have sets that I want to tag/time, but I am good if I can make a hit 'n' run post here and there. (Although that I have had a little more posting time recently.) As for your claim that I "say thanks over and over", don't you think that it is appropriate thank people when they do something that you appreciate? Wouldn't you want people to show appreciation if you spent the time to rip a music set?
@nensondubois: Let's get this thread back on track. Shall we?

- While I am thinking about it, I guess I will ask - what format is the music for Sonic World (Sonic Jam) in? It sounds sequenced, but since there is not much music in Sonic World, I wouldn't be surprised if it is redbook.
Thanks.
- Could it be... by F3582 at 11:29 AM EDT on March 18, 2008
- Could it be that the soundtracks of Star Ocean 3 and all those other PS2 games made by Tri-Ace are not sequenced after all?
I happened to experience the following: I accidentally opened the tray when plaing Radiata Stories. The game displayed an icon telling me that the tray was open, but the music kept playing for some ten seconds. And then it stopped. I always wondered how they could have managed to get such high quality music out of the PS2 with a sequencing driver. Who knows, maybe the game uses an own audio streaming format, instead.
