To quote a post from Davironica in the PSF_Rippers group (posted Aug. 3rd 2006):

"I'd like to make a note for Silmeria, since the sequenced format use the same driver as radiata stories and star ocean till the end of time, it will be great if someone can work with the driver since i already made some kind of small utilies to extract the required files, i can give the tool only to someone that will try to work on the driver, since without the driver you will only get junk files without anyway to play it."

It sounds to me like Davironica has already looked into it, and they're sequenced. There's only 2 people (that I'm aware of) that have been able to do custom driver PS2 rips. Neill and Zoopd. Unfortunately, it looks like it's pretty unlikely that they'll get ripped. However, if someone is able to extract the data, and give it a look, maybe it's streamed after all? The PS2 driver might be playing streamed music after all.

Anyway, I figured this was pertinent information. I don't know how useful it is though. Mouser X over and out.

you need the PS2 SDK in order to do this. even then, it's hard to do as the resulting binary is rejected by the psf2 environment.

So I see that there is a new hack/port of Mega Man 7 for the NES. Does anyone know where I can find a NSF rip of it? Thanks.

What is the port called? Where did you see the patch? With this info, it may be easier to find.

Oops. Forgot the link. Here is a topic on the Rockman Perfect Memories message board which has links to various pages relating to this game:

Thanks.

"It's not a ROM hack, by the way, it's a program."
by snakemeat at 1:54 PM EDT on April 5, 2008
As Chupperson said, it is not a rom hack, but a program. Extracting the contents reveals a "bgm" folder with what appear to be PxTone (.pttune) music files. I don't have time right now to find a player or plugin, please let me know if you happen to find one.

Search for plugin.

Oh, I saw some videos of it first and thought that it was a hack. Thanks anyway.
