Dang, that sucks. So Twilight Princess HD uses the same exact samples as the original?

That sucks. But it's surprising that the game was originally at 32KHz to begin with. We're both versions, Wii and GC, at 32KHz, or only the Wii version?

@robotortoise It should be noted that the streams coming from Twilight Princess are actually sampled at 44.1kHz as opposed to 32kHz (at least for Wii; can't confirm for GC). You're also probably better off listening to the game's (streamed) rips than the tracks from the remastered CD to be honest.

Have to update saying I was wrong--the GC's streams are actually also sampled at 44100Hz, which is super weird for Nintendo.

Wow, that IS super weird. It's also really impressive. I didn't even know the GameCube and Wii COULD do 41KHz!

...They can probably do much more... Sonic Colors, for example, uses 48KHz streams. I'm not aware of any games that go above that, but it's certainly not a hardware limitation.
