- The SS rip of Ooga Booga I find confusing. The header.bin says GENH but renaming them to said extension didn't help. What am I doing wrong?
- by manakoAT at 6:53 AM EST on January 31, 2010
- GENH isn't a common format used in games, it's a custom header designed by hcs and me!
The file will be appended to a GENH (GENeric Header) to make it playable in vgmstream, we use it in most cases for headerless stuff, which doesn't provide infos for playback.
You can create GENH files out of the original files with VGMToolBox
Format: 0x0A - Yamaha AICA 4-bit ADPCM
Header Skip: 0
Channels: 2
Interleave: 32768 (0x8000)
Frequency: 22050 (I think)

- Yes I know they're custom rips but I was surprised vgmstream couldn't play them. Thanks! :D

- I can't edit older posts? Anyway someone could have told me Valis I was called Mugen Senshi Valis :P
Is the ADPCM rip of Tech Romancer tagged at all (in the filenames I mean)? It's quite large and if it's not I'm thinking of doing a MAME rip since the BridgeM1 song list is as-of-yet incomplete.

- @Pulstar:
Hoot plays the game fine (all songs at least), you might try that instead.
Should make for a easier wavewriting environment.

- Don't forget to turn the low-pass filter off. ;)

- lol I can't even get Hoot to load roms. I set the path in its INI but no joy.
Btw what is this MUS format for Iron Storm? Checked the header and tried various vgmtoolbox combinations to no avail.

- You need to be using my XMLs as well (hoot.hcs64.com), since the official ones don't have any arcade sets added.

- hoot.hcs64.com... Another page. This website continues to amaze me. Five years of amazement :)
