GBS M3U by TheUltimateKoopa at 12:43 AM EDT on April 11, 2010
So, I created some M3Us with that GBS-M3U convertor in VGMTool or whatever, and then used Notepad to edit the tags and timers... however, for some reason, some M3U playlists simply don't work when edited, that is, when you open it in Winamp, NOTHING happens. It works for certain games (such as Game & Watch Gallery), but not for others (such as Super Mario Land 2 or Wario Land). Is there a reason for this?

there might be. could you post the files giving you trouble?

It's only after I edit the titles and timers, really. However, in the case of SML2, it doesn't work at all, and that one is already up here.

As long as there's a GBS M3U thread on the front page, why not turn it into a submissions thread:

http://vaguerant.site90.net/misc/Balloon%20Kid%20%281990%29%28Pax%20Softnica%29%28Nintendo%29.zip

The Balloon Kid GBS already on-site has no M3U, and the file itself is missing its artist tag, so bundled here is a fixed version (Hirokazu Tanaka composed for the game) and an M3U which tags and times every track.

fukken saved. nice one :)

ultimate koopa: we need to see the M3U and GBS files in order to be able to tell you for sure what the problem is. i didn't spot where you uploaded SML2 either. could you post links in this thread?

Bomb Jack GBS+M3U.

The GBS in this one is the same as the one provided in the archive, it's just included for convenience.

All five tracks are tagged and timed, and it was tougher than I expected; a couple of them have long intros before the looped section actually kicks in: e.g. the Game Over track plays for a full 3:33 before a looping 38 second section begins. I sat there listening to that for longer than I'm proud of before I realised it wasn't going to loop from the beginning.

Some good music in this one, the Bomb Jack soundtrack's been one of my favourite since back in the day, I used to stick it in my Super Game Boy, leave it on the title screen and turn up the volume. Good stuff.

Pop Up; apparently composed by the same guy as Bomb Jack. I had no idea.

TUK: they're all working okay for me with foobar2000 and Winamp. some are lacking titles or timers however. in any case i don't see any problem.

Could it be that I have a slightly outdated version of NEZPlug? I'm sure the version I have either dates from 2009, or January 2010. And some are missing timers because I didn't finish them, because since they weren't working I didn't think there was any point.
