For Luigi's Mansion, don't quote me on this but I think I've mentioned Best Service's Gigapack having a few sounds in there (I recognize SYN:JX P Sound3, PAD:padel7, and SYN:Dig23, and possibly SYN:Breath1). I noticed that a few sounds were reused from Super Mario 64 (I especially noticed the sitar that ended up being used in King Boo's theme) but I still don't know where they come from. There might be some Roland sounds too, probably a JV or a Sound Canvas, but I'm not sure.

There could be some E-MU Proteus usage too, I mentioned hearing what sounds like "Duce Snare 2" in there, and Kazumi Totaka seems to have used E-MU Proteus for Yoshi's Story (the timpanis and sitars sound like they're from there).

As for Mario Artist: Polygon Studio, I'm currently listening to a soundtrack video on YouTube and I can't help you there.

Ah, should mention I heard Ms Mowz's theme from TTYD uses a lot of the sounds from the construction kit Manzanilla, from the Zero-G "Trance" sample pack. I think some of the ambient wooshes in the final Shadow Queen battle are also from it.

What synth was used for the guitarish sound in Yoshi's Island for the Big Bad Baby Bowser level? And all of the other sounds as well as the sounds in Super Mario World.

@Ghignarda: I definitely heard the Ms. Mowz sounds in there, which I've been looking for for a while. I believe they're also used in one of the Tomodachi Life "musical numbers" as well. Good find! I didn't hear the final Shadow Queen battle "whoosh" sounds in there though. Which sample did you recognize them as?

I'm probably more than likely wrong, but I made the assumption that any one of the somewhat similar 'FX' samples from the construction kits could've been used as the basis, automated in pitch and by a phaser to create the wobble (talking about the samples starting at 0:45). But that might've been too presumptuous, though I can't imagine them having not altered those sounds.

I'm not 100 percent sure about this, but I think I might have found some of the "Yoshi drums" in New Super Mario Bros. Wii in Zero-G Creative Essentials Vol.02 Percussion Grooves as "02_19_03" and "02_19_04".

Kingfin's boss theme from Super Mario Galaxy uses the synth preset "DreamInColor" from the Roland Fantom.

A lot of Mario games from then on used Roland Fantom X (Galaxies, 3D Lands, NSMBs, and Mario Kart Wii and 8). I also heard it in Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Kirby: Planet Robobot.

Within them I've heard, among others, Low Beat-S, FS Musicbox, Candy Bell, BlastfrmPast, Techno Snips, Ethno Keys, Synergy MLT, FS Lochscape, FS Hollow, PanningFrmnt, Elec Sitar, Sitar Baby, Ring Worldz, Himalaya Ice, DreamInColor, Dreaming Box, Oral eXam, ReverseSweep, Trancer, Secret Bass, ResoSyn Bs 2, and maybe New Year Day.

Most likely AKAI Sound Library Vol. 1, but some people said something about them also being in Prosonus Orchestral Strings, but I think AKAI Sound Library seems more likely.
