Has anyone got any idea where this instrument might come from?

It plays in these songs

the intro of this song

It sounds like some sort of chiff/bottle synth, but I can't find anything like it.

@1983parrothead
I can create a soundfont of these games if you want. Would you want the presets to be in a specific order (like for example, General MIDI soundfonts)?
G-Boy by 1983parrothead at 9:17 AM EST on February 15, 2017
Yes, they have to be well structured to automatically play the right instruments to the most obvious channels of MIDI files.
Two different soundfonts by 1983parrothead at 9:19 AM EST on February 15, 2017
Please make them their own soundfonts separately.

@1983parrothead
OK, I'm working on it.

Edit: Do you want me to rip the SFX too?

SFX by 1983parrothead at 12:22 PM EST on February 15, 2017
Perhaps not, because they wouldn't make music better.

For future soundfonts, what program and tutorial works best?

16: Double-click the folder with the ROM's name in the place that you extracted it to.

17: Right-click the ROM in the folder.

18: Click "Copy".

19: Go to the "N64SoundListToolUpdated" folder.

20: Right-click an empty part of the folder.

21: Click "Paste".

22: Open the N64SoundListTool window.

23: Click "File".

24: Hover your cursor over "Open Known Game".

25: Choose the ROM that you want to rip a soundfont of.

26: Click the ROM.

27: Go to the ROM folder.

28: Click the ROM.

29: Click "Open".

30: Click "Rip All Sound Banks".

31: Choose the ROM folder.

32: Download the Polyphone Soundfont Editor.
