It's in Kirby's Dream Land 3. It's used in Sand Canyon 2 and King Dedede Battle themes. It's the quacky lead synth.

I don't know if it's from a JV-1080 (since it was first heard by me in a 1995 song) Proteus, or K2000 or other synth. I think it's a preset. Can anyone check the K2000 or JV expansion boards for this sound. I think if it's JV, it is in Techno, Pop, Dance, or House expansion board.

- Yeah. I think so. It's used in SO MANY Indonesian pop songs and Kirby games... it has a bit longer decay though and more resonance. It might also be from the JV-1080 Techno, House, Pop, or Hip Hop expansions.

- I did look at the SC-8850 videos on YouTube but it doesn't have anything, but some similar. I think there is a preset on the SC-88 called "Quack Brass" but I don't know if it sounds like that.

Yep. There are some similar. I think there is a preset on the Hip Hop Expansion for JV-1080 called JU Reso Ld 1 and 2 and maybe 3. Also, on SC-88 there's a preset called "Waspy Synth" that's probably similar.

The first song in the playlist uses PopDrum Set 2, Flute and SquareLead 1 from Roland Super JV JV-1080 and Cornet 2 from Roland SR-JV80-02 Orchestral.
The second song uses Picked Bs. from Roland Super JV JV-1080, Harmonica from Korg M1 and Pizzicato Str from Roland Sound Canvas.
The third song uses Picked Bs. from Roland Super JV JV-1080, Legato Flute from Roland SR-JV80-09 Session and Vibraphone and Steel-str. Gt from Roland Sound Canvas.
The fourth song uses Pizzicato Str and Steel-str. Gt from Roland Sound Canvas and Picked Bs. and Harmonica from Roland Super JV JV-1080.
