The Pizzicato's come from Roland String Masters which is a Sxx CD. They are STR_Vls Pizz 3aS on that CD.

Those CDs bring many roland presets from SC and JVs?
by punk7890-2 at 8:11 PM EST on November 6, 2015
Yeah, though they span it all across several of their Sxx CDs. I'd imagine this CD has a lot of the Orchestral Expansion board presets. There's another Sxx CD of theirs that covers a ton of percussion from the JV/SC series.

Not sure if this has been posted already but someone apparently dumped the sound resources of Super Mario Sunshine. Check it out

EDIT: Just .wav files, no MIDIs but maybe it'll help someone here

Well someone said Roland Fantom, but after doing some research that can't be it because that was from 2004.

I just know that whatever they used for Sunshine, they most likely used in Mario Kart: Double Dash as well.

Yeah, I'll admit that was a bit of lack of research on my part. After a bit of searching I found the Roland Fantom FA76 which came out as early as 2001, but I can't see that as being particularly plausible either.

I suppose it has to be a JV or a XV of some kind, given the time period and Kondo's usual synth habits (that and Sunshine's samples themselves). Considering the Fantom line was a direct successor of the two, it's probably our best bet. Chances are most (if not all) discoveries I've made from the Fantom have XV/JV equivalents.

I wouldn't be so sure about the Delfino Plaza guitar, though. I've never seen a rompler with so much articulation for just one guitar. It's probably a sample library of some kind.

"Tinkle" seems to be from the piranha lullaby from Super Mario 64. Nice finds!
by Benjamin at 5:40 AM EST on November 9, 2015
It's not the Piranha Plant's Lullaby sound, they sound vastly different.

However, Tinkle sounds like one of the sounds used in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door (notably the Sadness theme). Strange, I've been looking for that one forever.

Come to think of it, I think I may have found another sound. Sitar kinda sounds like the one in Super Paper Mario's The Road for the Lost.
