Hello. I'm having some trouble trying to rip the SFX of Sports Super Stars. I was wondering if someone can help me out decompressing the DAT file it think is fs2.dat

I basically want to extract the voices and SFX. and if there's a way to repack it again , i would like to know as well so i can mod the game, that's really the only thing i need to extract and repack.

Ah, I noticed that Monster Hunter XX (aka Double Cross) is out! I can't get it right now, but this is another one I should have up by the weekend, if nobody else gets to it first! ;)

Well, I finally came across the DLC for Gunvolt 2:

^I'm not entirely certain if these are all the songs, though.... unless the rest are sequenced. Still, that's what I got!

Hm, maybe some of the MCA fixes broke MH3U soundtracks(regression), such as ML_V_SHINE.mca (sounds distorted). Others like MQ_FIGHT89.mca is all static. They work fine on the 1050-50gd22a43b revision on the winamp plugin; I wish I could freely jump between revisions but seems foobar2000 force the latest update so I can't go back and pinpoint exactly when(unless I'm blind, are there older versions available or are they always replaced?). inb4 compile yourself.

Could you try to rerip MH3U? Many v5 MCA, that didn't play originally, were truncated in attempt to "fix" them. I assume you have such rip.

Support for v5 MCA was added and while some of those rips may work, I don't think it's possible to save most, since they cut point varies.

Freshly extracted my own dump(with the "Toolkit" v5.7) and it still sounds distorted/static. I'm 100% positive that my dump is good; if you have access to the game you can verify it.

\ExtractedRomFS\sound\bgm\lobby\wav\ML_V_SHINE.mca
(just to prove the that filepath is correct).
Some tracks are fine like MQ_CSELECT.mca

If it's impossible to fix then I'm personally OK with using different vgmstream revisions. It's just inconvenient :P
