Manual rips can also be made (if the MSF header has 0x00 instead of 0x01), but that's a bit too difficult for me to understand.

Minimsfs, in case you haven't read the spec, contain a marker at 0x5 in the reserved section that marks which song for M1 to play.

And yes I will be getting to work on some requests, but I don't know which games have megaman as a cameo.

Anyways off I go.

D'oh, I just realized that m1 doesn't have support for megaman. Oh well.

"Borrowed" times from Caitsith2's Fantasy Zone PSF2 set to use with the MSF set. Tags coming soon, but somebody PLEASE make an automated MINIMSF tool!!!!!1

Please avoid requesting games which aren't supported by M1, as I have little programming skill and don't know what to do to modify ROMs and all that rubbish.
Rayman 2 psf2 set by unknownfile at 9:34 AM EDT on August 7, 2005
I tried making a test rip from Rayman 2. However, the data library didn't play correctly. I'm going to get back to work on some other stuff soon.

Oh yeah, and I ripped Zero Wing this morning. So hah
Undercover Cops by unknownfile at 3:24 PM EDT on August 11, 2005
I have recently been doing some work on an arcade game called Undercover Cops, which is one of the better Street Fighter clones. Anyways, I managed to trace some music functions.

CPU 1

0x0a000a - The currently playing song
0x0a0040 - Playing marker (0x01 for stop, 0x09 for play)

I currently have no plans to rip this game to MSF as of now.

This is where I have good news.

I'm about to make an MP3 of Undercover Cops (Japan).

Thus far, I have not been able to find out as to how make MSFs out of it, because I do not know any sort of assembly (the game uses V30/V33 CPUs.)
Project Yuuki by unknownfile at 10:08 AM EDT on August 15, 2005
Hey guys, you might be wondering what that "Project Yuuki" thing in the MOTD section on my frontpage is.

Believe it or not, it is a project I have been attempting for the last little while that, when completed, will be able to automatically make a m1-mode MSF set. As such, I am going to have to find out how to get it to write a msflib then a bunch of minimsfs.

As of now, msfmake (which is based heavily on rom2usf) can only write a header. Whenever I've tried to add in the zipfile's length detection code into msfmake.c, Visual C fails saying something that I can't remember. Project Yuuki will change all this difficulty and will proceed to do the following:

1) detect a ZIP file size and write it into the MSF header
2) Automatically print 255 minimsfs
3) tag each minimsf with _lib=lib.msflib and msfby=Project Yuuki

If anyone here is willing to help, please let me know. Otherwise, I shall be waiting to be kicked in the nuts for me wasting your time on you reading this.

You're still trying too hard. I gotta get the reference player working before you do too much more of that ;-)

In reality, m1-mode msfs will just need to contain a zipname and a song number. My prototype Winamp plugin actually totally ignores the zip data part, it just needs those two things and the ROMs someplace it can find them. Once it stops crashing I'll post a copy ;-)

Does the thing have a tag editor, like in the other xSF players? If so, then I can finally get around to tagging and timing. :)

While we're on the subject of MSF, Pang! 3 is up at MSF Central.
