OK, I'll try and find them, in the meantime here is the SUNSOFT5B recording I used for reference:

Could that be of interest to the PSF community?

"When I download your new installer and run it, I get this error message:

Installer integrity check has failed. Common causes include incomplete download and damaged media. Contact the installer's author to obtain a new copy.

I've tried downloading several times and this is always the result."

Strange, well it should be fixed up now and:

there's a decent mirror for my plugin.

Ugh! I just noticed that the newest version of NEZPlug plays the Donkey Kong GBS at 2X speed, and doesn't play Mario Golf at all. Is this a GBS problem or a player problem? (I would assume player, but I don't know if there is an error in the GBS files that the old versions hacked into working)

If it is a player problem, does anyone have some older versions? I just deleted my extensive library of old versions, and all of the newer ones that I kept are broken.

Thanks.

Mario Golf plays fine here (NEZPlug v 0.9.4.8 +2+16.9)
by marioman at 7:40 AM EDT on June 27, 2008
Aha. The GBS files that I had were obviously old. (Thought that I got them from Hoot, but I guess I was wrong.) Thanks for pointing that out Knurek.

By the way, the direct links to the Last Action Hero, Le Visiteurs, Link's Awakening (German version), Logical, Lufia, Magination, Mario Golf, Mario Tennis, Mega Man I, Mega Man Xtreme, Mega Man Xtreme 2, Metal Walker, Micro Machines V3, Micro Maniacs, Mission Impossible, Mobile Golf, Momotaro Dengeki 2, and Monster Rancher Explorer JP GBS files on the GBS archive page are broken. I just checked the files whose names started with L and M, I may be able to look for more dead links if you would like.
by Knurek at 8:00 AM EDT on June 27, 2008
I'm doing a major rewrite to the GBS site, so pointing out any dead links now is pretty pointless (as I'm sure I'll add a great deal of them during the process).

If you could wait for a while, till I update the site again. Shouldn't take much more than a month.

In case the SNSF project ever picks back up, here's some info:
Check for writes to 00420D in the Debugger version of SNES9X. This register controls the refresh rate of the CPU, and failing to deal with it can make the music choppy. You should write to it with A9??8F0D4200.

I've seen similar issues arise when dealing with Gameboy vs Gameboy Color settings, because GBC runs twice as fast as a regular GB. Identical music code will either sound choppy, if it's supposed to be GBC, or sharper, if it was originally GB(Alfred Chicken vs. Alfred's Adventure).

The SNSF Winamp plugin plays a semi-fixed Wario's Woods too fast still, and I hear blips of SFX in the SNSF emulator, but it's less choppy.
