Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga GSFs Not Working by Kurausukun at 2:21 AM EST on January 27, 2017
I'm trying to play the MLSS GSF set that's on joshw using the gsf player in foobar, but if I try to play them, I just get silence, and if I enable "suppress opening silence," it just gives me a decoding error. I seem to remember being able to play these at some point earlier, so am I just doing something wrong? Just for fun, I checked another GSF set and it worked fine.
This game has a history of not working. I think the rip had to be hacked to work with the current GSF player because the original rip was bad. More importantly, anyone want to reverse engineer this and convert it to MIDI + SoundFont? Eh? Eh?
I keep posting it, but not to the places where anyone is looking for it. Maybe someone who wants it to get onto major sites can share it with them?

It's already been reverse-engineered by someone on Origami 64 who made a MIDI converter for it and Grunty's Revenge, but he hasn't released any source code, yet. But would you have the skills necessary to really reverse-engineer it? If so, then could you also help with the GAX engine?
There's already a soundfont made, http://glitchkill.proboards.com/thread/6130/popular-video-game-soundfonts check the first link at the very top of the page. I think there is a midi rip online, I got a copy of one from somewhere before.
You could try messaging jesse on the kuribo64 forums as that's where he usually tends to hangout if I remember correctly, maybe he can update the converter if you ask him? I dunno.
@SmartOne The soundfont above has samples from Mario Bros. Classic only, so that's the reason why it's not mapped to the MIDI.
It's currently impossible to rip a soundfont of the actual Superstar Saga game because it doesn't use the Sappy engine like Gyakuten Saiban 3 and other GBA games, but you could make a soundfont from scratch with the uncompressed instruments from sound modules and synths that Yoko Shimomura sampled from. I already know that the accordion from Cackletta and Fawful's theme was sampled from one of the Roland Sound Canvas modules.
