Has anyone ripped the cseq files from pokemon sun and moon yet? by dj4uk6cjm at 4:00 PM EST on February 5, 2017
What is taking so long for a proper midi rip of this game? I know it's only been 3 months since the NA version of the games release but geez c'mon guys.....
What do you mean, "a proper midi rip"? All of the audio is streamed, just like the other 3DS Pokemon titles. Also, saying "geez c'mon guys" makes it sound like you are incredibly entitled to other people doing something that is very easy to do yourself. Dump the game yourself and use VGMToolBox to get the files you want. It's really not hard.
Someone here actually said there was a good amount of sequenced data found in the game and sorry, I guess I could've put my words better. I was just discouraged at not seeing a rip here yet and by the way, not everyone has access to the rom to dump it.
Pretty much everyone has access to the ROM considering you can just download one from 3dsiso or some similar site, it's not like we care about piracy around here. That bit around the sequenced data is interesting, though. Maybe SFX or something similar.
I didn't know you could just get it off a site like that, well thanks for the helpful info! Yeah there was also a guy on the sound resource forum that claimed there might of been some SFX sequences in the game but no one really knows for sure.
Yeah, pretty much all music from the main entries since X/Y is streamed, whatever that might be left sequenced is most likely not BGM.
Pokemon Sun/Moon's BCSTM set has already been ripped and uploaded, but it's not properly named: it follows the game's internal naming conventions. At most IMO, you could offer to rename the files based on the Super Music Collection tracks...though that isn't doing much.
