Sonic Advance Series Soundfont? (All-in-one) by 20cayers at 9:36 PM EDT on July 26, 2017
Has anybody compiled the soundfont from here?[url]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jNf9BwrRef8[url] I tried compiling it myself, but it was too strenuous. Also, are the instruments named?
You could name the instruments yourself if you so wanted. Honestly, it wouldn't be too difficult to make an all-in-one soundfont; you would just need to make sure none of the program numbers overlap. In fact, you could just change all of the minor/sub-banks to match the game, so Advance 1 would be sub-bank 0, Advance 2 would be sub-bank 1, etc. Then you'd just have to add the proper bank change event in any midi files and you'd be golden.
I'm just not that good at soundfonts, editing or ESPECIALLY making. I tried with a SF2 patcher, but 1. Some instruments wouldn't patch. 2. Instead of going directly to the next patch number, some instruments would go to some weird number. 3. I lose track of numbers after a period of time. 4. It's way too tedious for me. I may sound lazy, but I'm a very busy person, and my patience needs work.
Well I doubt anyone has made one before. I don't know what you used to make it, but I usually use Awave Studio for soundfont editing, so I'd recommend that, it's pretty easy to use.
You can always get a debit card from the same bank your parents bank at and have them transfer you some kind of allowance. Or buy some prepaid reloadable cards at the supermaket. Anyone can buy those I think.
[EDIT] on another note, who actually buys awave studio? O_o Most people I know have cracked versions of it. But the internet is dangerous of course
Yeah, I definitely didn't pay for my copy. I don't actually know if the cracks I used are still up or not, but I remember them being pretty easy to find.
