Aladdin Nasira's revenge PSx midi request by PokeSpirit at 5:26 PM EDT on April 19, 2018
I had tried to rip the PSF audio files from VGMtoolbox psf data finder what I get are various VH files, I tried looking at tutorials but doesn't seem like I would success.
Would anyone kindly make midi files for me? I really want the midi music from this game..
or tell me how should I rip psf or whatever to get sequence music files...

I remember this game and a few others have not been ripped due to their weird and wacky format or non standard format. Some ps1 games have .xa or .str extension but are unrippable as they differ from the standard formats.

I'm pretty sure a few of us tried getting that game's music but without success.

Good luck

The music files are in CVS format, I could play them using PSound convert it to wave, using another tool(movie converter) to convert it to xa, but that's what I can think of doing about these CVS files..

I just added support for those CVS files so, you should be able to play them with ease in the next vgmstream build.

bxaimc thanks lot, so when would the next build be released?

Beats me. I guess whenever kode54 merges my commit into the main repo. Then bnnm will post it.

Sounds good bxaimc. Would be good to finally get to listen to it.

CVS files from this game are just PS ADPCM 22050 Hz mono audio. You can convert them with MFAudio or attach generic header using VGMToolbox and vgmstream will play them just fine.

Nicknine what do u mean? I can convert it to VAG or ss2, can I use something to generate sequence?

Last time I checked, music in this game is not in MIDI, it's just Sony ADPCM audio so you can convert it with any tool that supports this encoding. CVS files are headerless but it's not a big deal.
